Rodrigo FaselliandIan Bassi 303d7a1a07 Option: Focus Mode (Show/ Hide inactive plates) (#16325)
* Option: Show/ Hide inactive plates

* Hide inactive plate volumes by bounds

Switch inactive-plate volume hiding to use geometric overlap with the current plate bounding box instead of object and wipe tower ID mapping. This also guards against a missing current plate and keeps any active volume visible when its transformed bounds overlap the current plate footprint.

* Hide inactive plates per instance and keep them unpickable

Decide what is shown per object instance, from its footprint over the
current plate, so the parts of an object are never split; a selected
instance stays visible.

Keep the hidden state between frames instead of restoring it after each
one. GLVolume::on_hidden_plate records what this update hid, so it only
shows that again and leaves the volumes gizmos hide alone, and the raycasts
made while handling the mouse see the same scene as the frame. Nothing runs
while the inactive plates are shown.

Deactivate the raycasters of the other plates, whose icons still took
clicks where nothing was drawn, move the axes to the current plate, and
limit the option to Prepare, as Preview already shows the current plate
alone.

* Follow the selected plate with the camera while the others are hidden

Selecting a plate in Prepare while the inactive plates are hidden moves
the camera target over it and keeps the angle, distance and height, so
the plate comes into view where the previous one was. A zoom to all
plates, as after loading a project or adding a plate, frames the current
plate instead.

* Add a compact plate switcher while inactive plates are hidden

The hidden plates can no longer be clicked, and the object list gets
crowded on large projects. While they are hidden in Prepare, a column of
numbered buttons in the top left corner, a compact counterpart of the
Preview plate toolbar, selects the plate to show. It highlights the
current plate, dims the empty ones and gives the plate name in the
tooltip.

* Simplify the inactive plates update and the plate switcher layout

Decide and apply each volume's state in one pass instead of filling a
per-volume vector first, and hoist the switcher's loop-invariant colors.
Keep the height the bottom-left corner takes next to the constants it is
made of, with the canvas toolbar's button spacing named, rather than
repeating that layout in the switcher.

* Rename the option to Focus mode

The canvas menu entry reads Focus mode, lit while the other plates are
hidden, and is off by default, so nothing changes until it is turned on.
The app config key is focus_mode. Turning it on zooms to the current
plate, so the plate fills the view.

* Show plate thumbnails in the plate switcher

The switcher shows the thumbnails of the Preview plate toolbar instead of
numbered buttons, with rounded corners concentric with the window's.
Plater::plate_toolbar_image_version() lets it refresh them without
clearing the Preview toolbar's dirty flag.

* Don't draw the sinking contours of inactive volumes

GLVolume::render() skips an inactive volume, but its sinking contour was
still drawn, so an object on a hidden plate left its outline behind.

* Show the plate switcher's scrollbar only on hover, as in Preview

The plate switcher now shares the Preview plate toolbar's scrollbar: the
same width and colors, shown only while the mouse is over the column or
drags the bar, with the mouse wheel scrolling it either way, and tighter
window corners while it shows. Both toolbars draw it through the same
helpers, so they cannot drift apart; the Preview toolbar behaves as before.

Drop the frame style the switcher no longer uses since it draws
thumbnails instead of buttons.

* Make the plate switcher's thumbnails cheaper and match the Preview toolbar

The thumbnail version moves after almost every edit, and the switcher
redrew both thumbnails of every plate each time. It now redraws only the
current plate's, the only one edited while the others are hidden, and the
other plates' once their thumbnails are invalidated, through the new
Plater::update_plate_thumbnails().

IMToolbarItem::set_thumbnail() uploads a plate thumbnail without keeping
a copy of its pixels, a megabyte per plate, and replaces the item setup
the Preview toolbar and the switcher each repeated. The switcher's hover
border takes the Preview toolbar's color.

The design said every pattern other than the trapezoidal and adaptive

Damir GaleevandIan Bassi 5a427f2eb6 Precise Seam: new full-coverage policy for Seam Blocked (#16170)
* Precise Seam: new full-coverage policy for Seam Blocked

A Seam Blocked modifier that covers a whole perimeter now blocks it, like a
perimeter painted red all round, instead of being skipped. It overrides
painting and lower-priority modifiers, like Enforced and Neutral. A new
warning names the modifier: "Seam Blocked modifier "<name>" of "<object>"
covers an entire perimeter". It is shown only when a perimeter stays
entirely Blocked after all weak modifiers. The full-containment warning now
covers only Center, Left and Right.

* Precise Seam: fix seams on perimeters blocked all round

- SeamComparator::is_first_not_much_worse() compares the types first, so two
Blocked candidates fall through like Neutral ones. On a perimeter blocked
all round, by a whole Seam Blocked modifier or by red painting, Random put
the seam on the closing vertex of every layer and Aligned stopped aligning.
- The whole-perimeter Blocked warning flags only the highest whole zone, the
one in effect. A lower whole zone it overwrites is no longer reported, and
the candidate scan runs only when that zone is Blocked.
- The warning msgids take the type name from the menu's "Seam Blocked" msgid.
- PreciseSeamWarnings::set() shares the load-before-store idiom, and every
  weak segment records its modifier.
- Tests: a whole Blocked perimeter gets the seams of an unmarked one under
every seam position; overwritten whole Blocked zones are not reported.

ExPikaPaka 4bc300933e Texture displacement: keep a tooltip on screen long enough to be seen
A tooltip appeared only on the next pixel of mouse movement after its wait
had finished. ImGui hides a window on the first frame it is submitted, to
measure it before showing it, and does so every time a tooltip reappears
because those windows are recycled (the Popup|Tooltip branch of Begin()).
So the frame a tooltip is decided on is never the frame it is seen on, and
one carrying no animation asked for nothing further - leaving it in its
hidden measuring frame until some other event happened to produce the next
one. Before the hover delay this never showed, because the tooltip was
submitted on every mouse-move frame and the movement supplied the second.

It now asks for frames until it has been drawn twice in a row.
2026-10-13 14:30:53 +02:00
ExPikaPaka 5cfd91a309 Texture displacement: no tooltip while a control is being used, and a wait
that finishes on its own

The hover delay only finished while the mouse was moving: a pointer resting
on a control produces no events, so nothing redrew the canvas and the wait
never reached its end - the tooltip appeared on the next pixel of movement
instead. It asked for its frames with schedule_extra_frame(), which only
arranges a timer whose event an idle event is assumed to follow, and
on_idle renders nothing unless the canvas was already dirty when it ran.
The wait and the animations now both use request_extra_frame(), which ends
on_idle with evt.RequestMore() and so obliges wx to deliver the next idle;
it is what 3DBed's fade uses. Asking for frames as fast as they come is
safe now that which frame is drawn comes from the clock rather than from
the frame count - a redraw that arrives early draws the same frame again.

Nothing explains a control while the control is being used, so no tooltip
appears while a slider is being dragged, a value typed into one, a combo
open or a layer card dragged. The pointer sits on the very thing being
edited, so a tooltip there covered the model exactly while the user was
watching it change. The full wait comes back afterwards rather than the
short one: having just let go of a slider is not a reason to be shown a
picture of it.

AnimatedTexture::texture_id() loses its time-to-next-frame out-parameter,
which nothing asks for any more.

ExPikaPaka db0e788d35 Texture displacement: tooltip timing on a real clock, and a hover delay
The animations crawled when left alone and raced while the mouse moved.
They were timed by ImGui::GetTime(), and nothing in OrcaSlicer ever sets
io.DeltaTime, so it keeps imgui's default of 1/60 per frame: imgui's clock
counts frames, not seconds. On a canvas that renders only when something
asks it to, that is not a clock. Playback now reads a steady_clock, so a
frame is due when it is due whatever the canvas is doing.

An animation also restarts when its tooltip opens again, not only when a
different one opens: a gap in the frames it was drawn on is what that
looks like from here.

Tooltips now wait for the pointer to rest on a control for 0.45 s. The
panel is dense and a tooltip lands on the model beside it, so with no wait
a sweep from the top of the panel down to Bake flashed a dozen large panels
over the scene. After one has just been up the wait drops to 0.1 s for 0.7
s, so reading several settings in a row stays quick - but not to zero, or
that same sweep would flash again once one tooltip had been seen. A pointer
resting on a control produces no events, so the wait asks for the frame it
will appear on itself.

ExPikaPaka d2ba88c93d Texture displacement: animations that play on their own, and art for the
rest of the panel

The animations advanced one frame per mouse movement and stood still
whenever the mouse did. schedule_extra_frame() only guarantees an idle
event at the moment the next frame is due; GLCanvas3D::on_idle() returns
without rendering anything unless something marked the canvas dirty by
then, and nothing had. set_dirty() on the gizmo is what on_idle reads,
through GLGizmoBase::update_items_state(), to find out there are frames
still to draw.

Thirty-odd more pictures, covering the paint tools, brush size, the
connected-area fill, the five views, the five projections, subdivision,
feature-adaptive refinement, remeshing, hard edges, slivers, geometry
smoothing, filament mixing and denoise.

The generator grew three more drawing languages beside the shaded relief,
each picked by what the setting is rather than by taste: a flat mesh of
triangles where the subject is the mesh or a tool, a section where the
subject is where the surface sits relative to where it was, and a flat ramp
of greys where the subject is which filament a spot ends up as. Lighting a
colour illustration or looking down on a vertical change would both add a
second thing moving between two pictures meant to differ in one.

Mapping is one ball with the checker laid on it five ways, which is the
whole of what choosing a projection does - except Unwrap, which is not a
projection onto the model and so is drawn as the flat layout it produces.

ExPikaPaka fc5ac6d2a5 Texture displacement: illustrate the settings that are a shape
Ten more tooltips get a picture: Depth, Tile size, Repeat/Mirror, Invert,
Smoothing, Edge fade and Blend as stills, Depth, Rotation and Midlevel as
animations. All drawn by scripts/gen_texture_displacement_tips.py from the
same arithmetic the feature uses, one motif throughout, so that whatever
differs between two of them is the setting and nothing else.

Midlevel is drawn in section instead of as a relief. Shading reads slopes,
so a height field moved up or down as a whole shades exactly as it did
before - and where the relief sits relative to the surface is the entire
meaning of that setting. From the side, against the bare surface, it is the
one thing visible.

A single picture is now capped at 10 em tall and centred in its column,
rather than drawn at the tooltip's full width, where a square one came out
as tall as the text beside it was long.
2026-10-13 13:33:05 +02:00
ExPikaPaka 64ddc1fbba Texture displacement: tooltips beside the panel, with illustrations
The panel is pinned to the right edge of the canvas, so a tooltip left to
follow the mouse covers the very control it explains. panel_tooltip()
places every tooltip in the gizmo to the left of the panel instead - or of
the texture picker, while a tooltip is coming from inside that popup - the
same placement the picker itself already uses.

A tooltip can now carry pictures under its text: stills, or GIFs that loop
while it is open. Several settings in this panel describe a shape rather
than a number, and a sentence about a shape is read twice and understood
once. Files live in resources/images/texture_displacement and are named by
a tooltip; one that is missing is skipped, so a tooltip without its art yet
is exactly the text tooltip it was before.

AnimatedTexture decodes a file once and uploads a GL texture per frame -
wxImage for stills, wxGIFDecoder for GIFs, whose frames are composited here
with the disposal method each one asks for. An animation restarts when its
tooltip opens and asks the canvas for a redraw timed to its next frame.

Tile and Rotation are wired up as the first two; scripts/
gen_texture_displacement_tips.py draws their relief from the same
arithmetic the feature uses. docs/HLSD/tooltip-illustrations.md covers the
rest.

Ian Bassi 6d35ff6b9a Rewrite Fix Model on CGAL 6.2, fix Split to parts, remove Win10 SDK leftovers (#16366)
* Add CGAL-based mesh repair, drop Netfabb remnants

Add repair_mesh() in MeshRepair.cpp, a CGAL-based repair that replaces MeshBoolean::cgal::repair(). It welds cracks, cancels coincident triangles, fixes orientation, fills holes (including planar annular regions), removes local self-intersections, and unites crossing shells with libigl's exact boolean while following the nonzero winding rule used by slicing.

FixModelByCgal now repairs each volume in place without splitting it into parts, and reports whether the mesh was modified so unchanged meshes keep their painting and ids. The texture import repair prompt no longer depends on the Windows SDK, and the FIX_THROUGH_CGAL_ALWAYS conditionals are removed. The commented-out Netfabb/WIN10SDK build code is deleted.

libslic3r_cgal now builds with CGAL_LINKED_WITH_TBB and links TBB. Add docs/HLSD/mesh-repair.md and unit tests in test_mesh_repair.cpp.

* Parallelize repair while preserving separate shells

Repair connected mesh units and shells independently in parallel, keep crossing shells separate, and limit self-intersection remeshing to local defects. Update mesh-repair documentation and tests for the revised behavior.

* Make mesh repair deterministic and report its progress

Flags written from parallel loops were std::vector<bool>, whose neighbouring
bits share a word, so shells could be kept or dropped at random; they are now
std::vector<char>. Holes of up to 100 edges are filled with the search over all
triangles: the search restricted to a 3D Delaunay triangulation picks between
equally good fills differently from run to run.

Shells of fewer than four faces are dropped, as the volumes of two triangles
back to back need not cancel exactly, and a shell that self-intersection removal
changed is split again so the pieces it cut off are dropped too.

repair_mesh() takes a progress callback in place of the cancel callback, and
Fix Model reports each stage. The object's bounding box is now invalidated even
when a cancel or an error stops the repair after some volumes were replaced.

The edge-use sort, union-find and box-overlap code shared by several stages is
factored out, the topology analysed for welding is reused to build the work
units, the orientation pass checks only the edges it cut, and the output is
written from the shells without joining them first.

* Fix Split to parts crashing on flat pieces and staying offered after a repair

ModelVolume::split() added every piece to the object and then deleted the
pieces without a convex hull. When the first piece was flat, as often in a
triangle soup, that deleted the volume being split while split() and its
caller kept using it. A part made only of flat pieces lost all its volumes,
and a soup added thousands of pieces, saving a backup of the object for each
one it deleted. Pieces without a convex hull are now dropped before any joins
the object, the volume being split keeps the first remaining piece, and a part
with no solid piece is left whole. Other parts of the object without a convex
hull are no longer deleted as a side effect.

ModelVolume caches whether its mesh can be split, and set_mesh() kept the
cached value, so after Fix Model, Simplify or Emboss replaced a mesh, Split to
parts could still be offered for a single piece. set_mesh() and reset_mesh()
now clear the cache.

* Import STEP surface models with Split compound enabled

Splitting a compound kept only its solids, so a surface model, which OCCT
reads as a compound of loose faces, gave nothing to mesh and the import failed
with "Meshing of a model file failed or no valid shape". Each shell outside a
solid now becomes a part too, and loose faces stay together as one part, as
they do without splitting.

* Add Fix All for plates and re-enable --repair on the command line

ModelVolume::repair() applies repair_mesh() to a part and replaces the mesh
only when the repair changed it. Fix Model, the new Fix All and Fix All Plates
items of the plate context menu, and the command line's --repair option, which
had been commented out since the Win10 SDK repair was dropped, all use it.

With Keep painted feature after mesh change off, Fix Model cleared the painting
of every part of an object before repairing. Now only a part whose mesh changes
loses its painting, so fixing a whole project does not wipe it. The
notification counts the models that needed no repair instead of listing them as
repaired, and objects that did not change are not refreshed.

SoftFever 3f36a86f39 Use PrusaSlicer's filament-change settings on Prusa MMU3 and INDX printers (#16209)
# Description

Filament changes on the Prusa CORE One MMU3, MK4 MMU3 and CORE One INDX
now use the settings PrusaSlicer 3.0 ships for them. On the MMU3
printers these are Prusa's per-material ramming, load and unload speeds,
cooling moves and stamping. On the INDX they are Prusa's multi-tool
ramming and 10 mm³ minimal purge, plus a filament start G-code that
restores pressure advance after the purge station disables it and then
sends `M573 R`, as PrusaSlicer does.

This supersedes #16008. Thanks to @nuclearmistake for that work, which
identified what these printers need for reliable filament changes. This
PR reaches the same goal with the existing `include` mechanism rather
than new printer-level overrides. The values live in shared templates in
the Prusa bundle (PLA and PETG families with High Flow ramming variants,
and one for the INDX), and the filament presets include them, so each
material keeps its own values as in PrusaSlicer. For the MK4 MMU3, ten
small presets inherit the MK4 filament tunes and include the templates;
they cover the materials PrusaSlicer offers with the MMU3 and replace
the library generics as that printer's defaults. The CORE One MMU3 0.6
nozzle now uses the 0.6 Generic PLA and Prusament rPLA profiles, as in
PrusaSlicer. Unlike #16008, filaments from Orca's shared library keep
Orca's defaults on these printers.

No engine change, and printers without an MMU3 or INDX are unaffected.
MK4 MMU3 users also get the MK4's material tuning, such as temperatures
and cooling, from the new presets.

SoftFever ce7d4815e6 Set the Design tab's Origin and Bed rows apart from the feature list
They now sit above the features' framed list as fixed view switches:
a click no longer selects them, they stay put while the features scroll,
their eyes line up with the features' eyes, and their labels dim when
hidden. Ctrl+Shift+O toggles the Origin from the keyboard, as

SoftFever 4d4e52722f Open the Design tab's sketches only once their plane is picked
Sketch on a picked flat face or reference plane opens the sketch on it at once. With nothing

flat face clicked next opens the sketch and puts them away. Esc or Cancel leaves without one.
A picked plane is used up by the sketch on it and dropped by Esc or a click on nothing, the plane

cancelled on picks that face again rather than the whole body.

000f8abc6d CoreOne INDX 8T and 4T: welcome to earth, MMU3 fixes (#15903)
* Add opt-in printer overrides for filament tool-change settings

Allow printer presets to define uniform ramming, loading, unloading,
cooling, purge, filament scripts and pressure-advance enable settings
without duplicating material presets. Apply overrides during preset
composition and FDM normalization, and expose the switch in Multimaterial.

Keep the feature disabled by default. Omitted or empty override vectors
preserve material settings; a single value applies to every filament,
including an explicitly empty script. Reject multi-value overrides.

Preserve empty float vectors across project serialization and initialize
empty nullable filament overrides before resizing them, preventing preset
cache generation from accessing an empty vector.

Include focused override tests and document the configuration semantics,
Prusa MMU3 integration and INDX tool-change behavior.

Co-authored-by: Codex <codex@openai.com>

* Add Prusa MMU3 and CORE One INDX profiles with shared material tuning

Add MK4 MMU3 and four-tool/eight-tool CORE One INDX printer definitions,
process presets and printer resources. Reuse ordinary MK4 and CORE One
printer/process inheritance while retaining device-specific startup,
shutdown, tool-change and wipe-tower behavior.

Move uniform MMU3 tip forming and INDX handling into machine filament
overrides. Keep MMU3 pressure advance and purge material-specific, retain
INDX material tuning, and share surviving materials with migration aliases
for retired MMU3 and XL tool-change copies.

Preserve unrelated Prusa filament identities, scalar value formats and
inheritance rather than applying broad profile cleanup.

Validation: Prusa profile checks and all 69 printer smoke slices passed.
The final cleanup preserved emitted commands with identical filament
selections.

Co-authored-by: Codex <codex@openai.com>

* Refresh filament controls after loading printer presets

Synchronize the plater filament controls after preset loading, even when the internal filament list already matches the nozzle count.

Co-authored-by: Codex <codex@openai.com>

* Fix nullable Z-hop overrides in Prusa filament variants

Represent empty overrides as nil for each inherited extruder variant so
the native profile loader preserves machine Z-hop settings.

Validation: full profile checks, native loading, and 1,115-printer slicing
sweep passed.

Co-authored-by: Codex <codex@openai.com>

* Separate Prusa profiles from machine-owned filament overrides

Retain profile tuning without unsupported machine override keys. Move supporting code, tests and override documentation into a separate feature change.

Co-authored-by: Codex <codex@openai.com>

SoftFever 1f91fdf637 Show feature and body actions on their rows in the Design sidebar
Each Feature tree row now carries Edit, Show/hide and Delete, and each
Bodies row carries Move, Show/hide and Delete. These act on that row
instead of on the selection. The eye shows a closed eye when the item
is hidden. Every clickable icon in the sidebar now highlights on hover.

Rename and Color now come first in the right-click menu, as items of
their own instead of inside Modify. This applies wherever they appear,
whether opened from the viewport or from a Bodies row.

Clicking an already-selected row no longer starts a rename; use F2,
the row's right-click menu, or the Rename command.

SoftFever d47fb804c3 Make the Design tab sidebar dockable and collapsible like Prepare's
The sidebar can move to either side, float, be resized, and collapse with
the canvas button or Shift+Tab. Its layout is remembered separately from
Prepare's, starts where Prepare's sidebar is, and View > Reset Window
Layout resets both tabs.

Claude 410399fdb5 Design tab: follow Orca's theme, scale, mouse settings, dialogs and undo
Felix14-v2's review of OrcaSlicer#16019 found the tab behaving as a world of its own.

- Icons: the design_* glyphs were drawn in a fixed light grey, made for the dark ribbon, and the
toolbar re-tinted some of them by rebuilding the bitmap from a wxImage, which drops the HiDPI
scale factor Orca sets on Windows: at 150 % the icons came out half again too large for buttons
that were sized in raw pixels, overlapping and clipped. The glyphs now use Orca's sidebar icon
grey (#949494), which the icon cache maps per theme, nothing is re-tinted, toolbar glyphs drawn
for Prepare's light toolbar use their "_dark" twin, and every size is in DIP.
- Theme: the chrome colours were read once, at construction, and nothing in the tab answered a
theme switch, so switching left light surfaces and unreadable text in a dark tab and the other
way round. The colours are now {light, dark} token pairs; MainFrame::on_sys_color_changed
reaches DesignPanel::on_sys_color_changed, which moves every token colour onto the other
theme's, runs the app's dark pass and re-rasterises the icons. Card borders are StateColors,
  resolved at paint time.
- Scale: MainFrame::on_dpi_changed reaches DesignPanel::msw_rescale, which re-rasterises every
icon (buttons, flyout rows, card headers, the tree's image list, now sized from its bitmaps)
  and re-measures the Orca widgets.
- Mouse: the canvas no longer forces middle-drag to orbit and right-drag to pan; it reads the
drag actions in Preferences > Control like Prepare. Left-drag is shared with picking, so the
whole-body rubber band takes Shift+left-drag while left-drag is given to the camera.
- FPS counter: ImGui's display size is shared and only refreshed when a canvas sees its own
size change; the Design canvas now re-announces its size when the tab is entered (and the
editor canvas when it is left), as Plater does between Prepare and Preview.
- Viewport text: the status line and the tool readout were top-level popups over GL. A popup
does not follow its frame, so the empty-canvas hint floated over other applications, and the
readout was never taken down with the tab. Both are drawn by the canvas in the tool's ImGui
pass now, with the theme's overlay style.
- Dialogs: messages use MessageDialog/RichMessageDialog; Add/Edit Variable is one Orca dialog
with Name and Expression fields instead of two native text prompts; the Text dialog uses
TextInput, ComboBox and CheckBox (its height is a TextInput: SpinInput is integer-only), and
enumerates the installed fonts once per session. The ribbon's Confirm/Cancel, the reference
pick buttons and the expression buttons are Orca Buttons; the variable actions are icon
  buttons like the other cards'.
- Undo: the tab's own Undo/Redo buttons are gone. The top bar's Undo/Redo drive the Design
history while the tab is shown, greyed to what an undo would do, as Ctrl+Z and Edit already
  did.
- The first build of the tab logs how long each phase took ("Design tab build: ..."): it is
under a second here but was reported at about fifteen on Windows.

Claude 5254007a10 Merge main into the Design tab follow-up
main moved the CAD docs into docs/HLSD/design-tab.md and the offer
generator and atlas into scripts/CAD/ (#15803).

- The four docs this branch had edited are deleted as on main. What the
branch changes about the design goes into the HLSD doc: the right-click
is judged by drift over the whole press, with no time budget; a Text
feature stores its outlines as well as its string, font and height; a
new section on how the Design canvas renders bodies (studio lighting
through the shared phong shader, B-rep edge ribbons).
- gen_offer_table.py keeps both main's atlas validation and this
  branch's L() markers on user-facing strings.
- The Text verb's hint is now changed in scripts/CAD/tool_atlas.json as
  well, so `gen_offer_table.py --check` passes.
- DesignPanel.cpp keeps the DesignTextDialog include and main's new
  path in the offer comment.

Ian Bassi ffbbd62355 Clean design Docs and move context (#15803) 2026-09-30 14:33:35 -03:00
a5413efc37 refactor: printer agent infrastructure changes to work with other printer agents aside from bambu (#15710)
* Add developer flag for printer agents

* Parse user print info on the UI thread to prevent heap corruption (#119)

get_user_print_info()'s HTTP fetch can run on a worker thread (e.g. BindJob),
but parse_user_print_info() mutates userMachineList (insert/erase/delete
MachineObject). on_machine_alive (SSDP) mutates the same maps on the UI thread
without locking, so parsing off-thread races the map and frees MachineObjects
out from under it -> heap corruption.

Keep all device-list mutation on the UI thread: parse inline when already on
the main thread, otherwise marshal via CallAfter so it stays serialized with
on_machine_alive.

* Prevent loss of user access code on LAN reselect

Keep user access code intact to maintain access rights even if
device slot is unpopulated, ensuring continuous connection
and status message reception.

* Harden send flow and separate upload failure recovery (#111)

* fix(send): harden FT send path + IP pre-flight UX

* Remove early returns

* Working Moonraker and Qidi printer agent transport (#104)

Folds the Qidi AMS box-mapping print
overrides (apply_box_mapping +
start_* wrappers) that the transport
fix builds on.

* Add support for runtime error status in plugins

Distinguish a loaded plugin whose
capability errored (RuntimeError,
warn-styled, stays checked) from a
load-time Error. Status now derives
via resolve_plugin_status(); enum
ordinal keeps dialog sort priority.
Unloading clears stale errors.

* Resolve duplicate agent ID conflicts

Reject a printer-agent capability
whose agent ID is already owned by
another capability or built-in:
flag the plugin error, disable the
capability, and warn the user
instead of silently ignoring it.

* fix: checkbox should depend on plugin is_loaded status

* Replace fake-enum printer agent dropdown (#121)

A dedicated PrinterAgentChoice field
reads rows straight from the live
agent registry and stores the agent
id string, replacing the fake-coEnum
index mapping. The field moves to
TabPrinter and registers with the
searcher so UnsavedChanges renders
it; the PhysicalPrinterDialog copy
and its update hook are removed
(#125). switch_printer_agent now
resolves ids via
resolve_printer_agent_id.

* Reset device selection on agent swap or unload (#124)

set_live_printer_agent centralizes
the swap: deselect the machine,
clear stale sidebar state and the
previous agent's Other Devices, then
install the new agent (or null when
its provider vanished). Plugin
load/unload callbacks refresh the
dropdown and re-run agent selection.
load_last_machine no longer falls
back to the first available machine.

* Gate agent mode behind use_printer_agents toggle

Replace per-printer auto-activation
(is_current_printer_agent_plugin)
with a global experimental AppConfig
toggle, default off: legacy
print-host behavior is unchanged
until the user opts in. The toggle
drives device-tab routing, print
button defaults, connect-button
visibility and sidebar layout, and
dedups machine-select dialog opens.

* Track BBLPrinterAgentPlugin.py

* Add printer-agent and plugin status tests

Ports the agent lifecycle, duplicate
agent-id, built-in-id clash and
status-resolution tests. The loader
runs on a detached worker thread, so
the lifecycle tests live in their own
executable. Tests install the
production unload-side registry
wiring themselves (no GUI in the
test binary) and register agents
manually so concurrent loads stay
deterministic.

* fix: pin HTTP to prevent connection refusal

Set `use_ssl` to false to ensure Moonraker
connectivity, as the service uses HTTP rather
than HTTPS, preventing connection issues. Initialize
device info early for reliable name resolution.

* Bring Moonraker device panel to feature parity

The monitor panel showed wrong or missing
data for Moonraker printers, and its
controls did nothing.

Push payload now carries layer number and
total layers. Remaining time replaces the
wrong total_duration - print_duration
formula. The chamber light toggle maps to
Klipper SET_PIN / SET_LED, and pause,
resume and stop post to
/printer/print/{action}. Task thumbnails
resolve via /server/files/thumbnails onto
a new MachineObject thumbnail url.

Filament sync switches to pull mode so the
agent is queried on demand.

Not compiled or run.

* Stop blocking print on unreported nozzle data

* fix: make Klipper macro lamp control reliable

* Surface Moonraker webcams and gate unrunnable controls

* Keep Bambu AMS dialect out of the agent waist

M620 is Bambu firmware dialect, not a
neutral command. Composing it in
MachineObject let non-Bambu agents
(Moonraker/Klipper) forward it and
report success on firmware that
cannot run it.

Agents now own the dialect: the
default refusal on IPrinterAgent
returns not-supported so the UI
can say so; BBLPrinterAgent keeps
the byte-identical composition.

* Fix multi-color filament logic

Reuse color decoding across functions to improve
code readability and maintain consistency in
multi-color filament handling.

* Move Moonraker commands off the UI thread

Pause/resume/stop, g-code sends, temps, and
light ran synchronous HTTP on the UI thread,
freezing the app up to 10s per click on slow
or unreachable printers.

Run them on a single agent-owned FIFO worker
so g-code ordering is preserved, while command
translation stays synchronous so unsupported-
command dialogs still work.

Add a pending-disabled state to the pause,
resume, and abort buttons for Moonraker-family
printers: the icon only flips once the
WebSocket reports the real state, which also
rules out double-click races.

* Show Snapmaker U1 camera in Device tab

The U1 exposes no /server/webcams/list entry;
its camera only captures after an explicit
camera.start_monitor RPC, which the Moonraker
websocket executes unauthenticated but only
answers over MQTT - so the call is fire and
forget.

Start the camera when the camera view is
shown and renew every 300 s: the printer
retires the capture task at ~362 s and
stop_monitor is accepted but ineffective,
so teardown is simply to stop renewing.

Frames land in monitor.jpg as still JPEGs
(~2 fps at interval 0), so the webview loads
a local HTML wrapper that repolls with a
cache buster.

* fix: start stream when camera URL changes

* fix: stop Qidi slot parse throwing on null

* Keep printer-agent progress in sync

Keep the shared task progress aligned with agent
reports that lack Bambu cloud task identity.

Release the lazily allocated task during reset to
avoid leaks when machine objects reconnect.

Claude a4387e93f2 Design tab: revolve about a line of the sketch
Reported: the Revolve axis could only be the sketch plane's X or Y axis
through its origin, so a half-profile drawn beside a centerline, the
usual way, could not be revolved about that centerline.

- CadFeature::revolve_axis_entity names a Line of the profile sketch to
revolve about (a construction centerline, or an edge of the profile
itself); -1 keeps revolve_axis. Appended at the end of the framed
recipe, so existing projects load and rebuild unchanged. Revolve and
Surface Revolve resolve their axis in one place (revolve_axis_of); an
index that no longer names a line fails with a reason.
- SketchEngine::make_revolve takes the world axis. A profile with points
on both sides of it is refused with "the profile crosses the revolve
axis"; MakeRevol failed there with no reason.
- The Axis list of both cards reads Plane X, Plane Y, then every line of
the sketch, named as the constraint list names them (Centerline E4,
Line E3). A fresh revolve preselects the sketch's centerline when it
has exactly one. The gizmo turns about the chosen axis and draws it
dashed; construction lines no longer pull its centre.

Tests: a rectangle beside a construction centerline revolves into the
tube of the expected volume along that line; about its own edge, into a
cylinder; an axis through it is refused with the reason; a stale axis
index fails with a reason; the axis survives save and load. The
truncated-recipe test accounts for the new tail field.

Claude b8d45c6bb1 Design tab: studio lighting and body edges in the 3D view
Reported: once extruded, a part is hard to read; the lighting says
little about its shape. Both lights of the object shaders sit near the
camera, so the sides of a part come out in almost the same tone, and
nothing marks where one face ends and the next begins.

- The phong shader gains a studio lighting model, chosen by a new
lighting_model uniform: a sky/ground hemisphere in world space (up
faces cool and bright, down faces warm and dark), a key light from the
upper left and a weak fill from the right, a plastic-like highlight,
and a darker base with a faint sheen toward the silhouette so curved
faces read as round. GLCanvas3D::set_studio_lighting() makes a canvas
draw its objects with it whatever the realistic-view preferences; only
the Design canvas turns it on. Every canvas sets the uniform on each
use, 0 for the slicer's, so they render as before.
- Every B-rep edge of a body is drawn as a thin dark line over it, depth
tested and pulled a few pixels toward the eye so it wins against the
faces meeting at it and hides behind the faces in front. The seam of a
closed surface and degenerate edges are left out
(GeometryEngine::display_edges). Edges are sampled once per shape and
kept across recomputes that leave a body unchanged; bodies faded by
body focus get fainter edges, and a dress-up previewing its result
alone hides them with the bodies.

Tests: display_edges gives a box its 12 edges at their lengths, a
cylinder its two round rims without the seam, a cone its base rim
without the seam or the apex.
