* Add orca-translations Claude skill and PO tool
Add a .claude skill that guides translation passes over the localization/i18n gettext catalogs. It covers the workflow: run gettext, settle new glossary terms, translate in batches, verify, and report.
Includes translation-rules.md, which condenses the placeholder, line-break and glossary rules plus the guidance on review notes.
Also adds scripts/po_tool.py (standard library only). It lists pending entries with glossary hints, validates and applies translations, adding '# AI Translated' and '# Needs human review' comments, and rewrites only the entries it changes. It can also check catalogs, look up existing translations, suggest glossary candidates and update the wiki glossary TSV.
* Let po_tool apply translations by entry id
pending now gives each entry a short id, so a translation file can name
entries by id instead of repeating the English msgid. apply accepts either.
A "review": "" item clears an earlier review note when overwriting an
entry, and check gives each msgfmt run its own temporary output file so
parallel checks do not collide.
* Fill all empty translations
Regenerate the template with run_gettext --full and translate every empty
entry in the 22 catalogs (7,089 entries) with the orca-translations skill,
following the localization glossary, including the new belt printer,
IDEX/IQEX and plugin terms. Every new entry is marked "# AI Translated";
122 also carry "# Needs human review" with what to check.
* Show entry ids in po_tool lookup and search translations
lookup now prints each entry's id, so an entry found there can be
rewritten with apply --overwrite without repeating the English, and
--msgstr searches the translations instead of the msgids, which finds
every entry that still uses a term being changed.
SKILL.md describes how to change an established term: check the
catalog's usage first, update the glossary cell, then rewrite only the
entries where the term has that meaning.
* Fix mistranslated terms and align catalogs with the glossary
Correct labels that the glossary had copied, and the entries that used
them:
- ca: Raft was rendered as the Brim term; it is now "Rai". Exhaust fan,
Monotonic line, Unretract, Slice, Lateral Honeycomb and PA Tower
labels fixed.
- cs: Lightning infill is "Blesk", not "Osvětlení" (illumination).
- sv: Retraction is "Retraktion", not "Reduktion"; Unretract,
Lagerhöjd, Delkylningsfläkt, Utsugsfläkt, Aligned Rectilinear and the
Preset label fixed.
- de: Brim is "Rand" and Skirt is "Umrandung", as most entries already
had them.
- lt: brim entries used the Skirt word "apvadas"; they now use "kraštas".
- es: Sparse infill is "relleno de baja densidad", the catalog majority.
- eu: nozzle wipe is "garbiketa", not purge.
- th: the project plate is "เพลต", distinct from the bed.
- uk: Quarter Cubic, Latin "PA" in PA Tower, and Belt purge tower.
- pl: Cross Hatch, Tri-hexagon, Volumetric speed and Raft labels.
- zh_TW: Brim stays "Brim", as the existing labels have it.
- tr: "Prime Tower" read "Prime Minister Tower".
- ko: the plugin "Capabilities" label read "performance".
- Build Volume labels fixed in tr, de, cs and eu.
All 242 rewritten entries are marked "# AI Translated".
* Make more UI text translatable and fix pluralization and context
Audit the sources for text that translators could not translate
correctly and fix it.
Mark text that reached users in English only: IDEX/IQEX role names,
plugin permission prompts and errors, 3MF/preset loading errors, G-code
placeholder parser errors, calibration and device messages, notification
texts, file dialog filters, and the config validation messages.
Replace sentences built from translated fragments, such as the prime
tower warnings, "left"/"right" nozzle names, and "Filament " + number,
with single msgids that have placeholders, so translators can reorder
and inflect them.
Use plural forms for texts with a count ("%1% mixed filaments",
"%d objects", "%1% triangles") instead of "(s)" and mismatched verbs.
Fix the swapped singular/plural pair in "The following presets inherit
this preset".
Add translation contexts where one English word has several meanings
(Subscribed/Local, Standard, Pause, View, Step, Model, Camera, Flow,
Filter, Others, Prepare, the Design tools). Show "Size" instead of
"Build Volume" in the Cut tool, which displays the object size.
Fix code that compared translated text with English (the Edit G-code
dialog group, the plugin registration failure check), and add the
bundled web pages' missing string-table entries. Use the single
character for degrees Celsius, say "G-code", and describe the head
filament map without internal jargon.
Install the libslic3r translate callback before the presets load, so
their load errors are translated, and list the 28 source files that had
marked strings but were never extracted into localization/i18n/list.txt.
* Suggest earlier translations and list fuzzy entries in po_tool pending
pending now attaches the closest earlier translation of a similar
English text (from obsolete or translated entries), so a reworded or
split string keeps its wording, and it lists fuzzy entries by default,
since users never see them. A fuzzy entry also carries its stale
translation as previous_translation.
* Fix wording of the non-boolean operands error
The logical operation error said "operators" where it means the
operands the operation was applied to.
* Translate the newly translatable strings in all languages
Regenerate the template after the translatability changes and fill every
new or changed entry in the 22 catalogs (about 12,800 entries): the
strings that became translatable, the plural forms, the entries split by
context, and the previously fuzzy singular entries that became plurals.
Every new entry is marked "# AI Translated", and about 360 also carry a
"# Needs human review" note saying what to check. Terms follow the
localization glossary. Earlier translations of reworded strings were
reused where the meaning was unchanged. Existing entries were not
changed, and obsolete entries are kept.
* Document the source translatability audit in the orca-translations skill
Add a reference describing how strings reach translators, what to look
for (untranslated text, spliced sentences, missing plurals, ambiguous
words), what not to translate, where a context cannot be carried, and
what to do after the edits, plus a scanner that lists untranslated
user-facing string literals.
* Document how to write translatable strings in AGENTS.md
Tell developers to keep each message complete in one msgid: use
placeholders instead of concatenating translated fragments, plural forms
for counts, and contexts for ambiguous words, and to list new source
files in localization/i18n/list.txt. Add a matching code review item.
* Translate the strings added since the rebase
Regenerate the template against the current main and translate the 26
new entries per language: the Fix Model commands and messages, and the
texture displacement image adjustment panel. Each new entry is marked
"# AI Translated"; existing entries are unchanged.
* tidy
* feat(preset): pack bed texture and model into printer bundles
Export copies bed_custom_texture and bed_custom_model into the .orca_printer zip under bed/. The manifest lists them in printer_asset. Import extracts each file into the bundle folder and rewrites the preset to that path. A missing file is skipped. A path that leaves the bundle directory is rejected. An old bundle with no printer_asset imports as before.
* Add includes flagged by clang-tidy misc-include-cleaner
* Gate bed asset packing on an export checkbox and key printer_asset per printer
The Export Configs checkbox can leave a custom bed out of a shared printer bundle. printer_asset is keyed by each printer_config zip entry, with files under bed/<n>/, so a later multi-printer bundle does not need a second manifest. The unshipped flat printer_asset object is not read.

Several warning and info dialogs passed wxYES as their only button, so
the only choice was "Yes" even though nothing is asked. Use wxOK.
None of the callers act on wxID_YES. They ignore the result, except
Field.cpp, which only checks that it's nonzero, and every button id is.
wxYES_DEFAULT is 0, so dropping it next to wxOK changes nothing.
Also drop the empty `if (ShowModal() == wxID_YES) {}` in
Plater::priv::load_files.
The directive sat at global scope in a header that DeviceManager.hpp
includes, so most of the GUI compiled with all of std in the global
namespace. 42 files had come to rely on it, mostly for string, vector
and unordered_map, four of them for the ""sv and ""ms literals.
Those sites are qualified. GCodeViewer.cpp spelled the type as
std::vector<::string>, which only resolved through the directive. The
files that use the ""sv and ""ms literals get a file-scope
"using namespace std::string_view_literals;" or
"using namespace std::chrono_literals;", as other sources already do.
* Stop Leaking json Through Headers and Drop Includes Kept Only for the Name
AppConfig.hpp, DeviceManager.hpp and UserManager.hpp carried a global
"using namespace nlohmann;", json_diff.hpp a global "using json =
nlohmann::json;" and PrinterFileSystem.h a global "using nlohmann::json;".
Every file that included one of them, directly or not, could write a
bare json, and 63 did without declaring it.
The last two also made the include checker treat json_diff.hpp and
PrinterFileSystem.h as the headers that provide json, so they were
included from files that use nothing else from them: 57 of the 59
includers of json_diff.hpp never name json_diff.
The five statements are removed. Headers that use the type now spell
nlohmann::json, source files declare their own "using json =
nlohmann::json;", and the includes that only supplied the name are
dropped or replaced by <nlohmann/json.hpp>.
Eight files reached json_diff.hpp only through an include that is now
gone and with it lost that header's "using namespace std;". The std
names they used unqualified are qualified.
* Declare json in OrcaSlicer.cpp on Every Platform
OrcaSlicer.cpp had its "using namespace nlohmann;" and the json include
inside the Linux-only include block, so on Windows and macOS it took
json from AppConfig.hpp's global directive, which is gone. The include
and a "using json = nlohmann::json;" now sit outside the block.
* Add Missing Includes Across src/slic3r/GUI
Every GUI source and header now directly includes the headers declaring what it uses, rather than relying on the precompiled header or transitive includes. Generated with clang-tidy misc-include-cleaner, plus one hand edit making CalibrationPanel.hpp self-contained.
* Drop the OS-Specific Includes Added Outside Their Platform Guards
GLib, GTK, D-Bus and POSIX headers are only used inside platform #if blocks, which already include them. Added unconditionally at the top of the file they broke the Windows build.
* Add the clang-tidy Configuration That Generated These Includes
Only misc-include-cleaner's missing-include check, with the headers it must never suggest: per-platform, internal and OS-specific ones that would break other platforms or are not meant to be included directly.
* Match Windows Paths in the clang-tidy Ignore List
Header paths use backslashes on Windows, so every / in a pattern is now [/\\]. The Windows SDK headers are ignored alongside the other OS-specific ones, and the list is one pattern per line. Suggested by @raistlin7447 from a Windows clang-cl run.
Use DPI-aware 20 DIP vertical scrolling for general-purpose GUI
scroll areas.
Keep list-based views aligned to their item height so one wheel increment follows the visible row rhythm.
This makes Preferences and other dialogs scroll consistently across
Windows DPI settings.
* build: enable /Zc:lambda for MSVC
MSVC keeps its legacy lambda processor under /std:c++17, which rejects
reading a constexpr constant inside a lambda that does not capture it
(C3493). No other compiler requires that capture, and clang reports it as
an unused one, so the two cannot both be satisfied without the flag.
/Zc:lambda selects the conforming lambda parser that clang and GCC
already use. It is implied by /std:c++20 and /permissive-, so it is only
needed while we are on C++17. clang-cl is conforming already and does not
take the flag.
It requires VS2019 16.8, so build_release_vs.bat now says 16.8+.
* build: clear 237 unused lambda capture warnings
236 captures across 81 files, 142 of them `this`. Removing an unused
capture changes no behavior; clang does not report a capture whose type
has a non-trivial destructor, so nothing held only to extend an object's
lifetime is in this set.
Nine of them are the second half of the warning, "is not required to be
captured for this use", where the capture is a const or constexpr value
the body does read. Those depend on the /Zc:lambda change in the previous
commit. One of them, in FillRectilinear.cpp, had been worked around with
an #ifndef __APPLE__ guard around the capture list, which is now gone.
GUI_ObjectTableSettings.cpp captured its reset button only to read it
inside #ifdef __WXOSX_MAC__. That branch now takes the button from the
event it is already handling.
* build: fail configure on MSVC older than 19.28 instead of dropping /Zc:lambda
cl.exe answers an unrecognized /Zc: sub-option with warning D9002 and keeps
going, so on VS2019 before 16.8 the flag is silently ignored and the build
instead dies with C3493 in FillRectilinear.cpp, nowhere near the cause.
* fix: delete three locals that are now unused
Their only remaining use was the lambda capture this branch removed. The
Clang builds set -Wno-unused-variable, so the build never flagged them.

* Rvert from per-verndor to single cache file
Replace N per-vendor .cache files with a single system_presets.cache
that holds all vendors and presets in one serialized blob.
Cache load is now all-or-nothing: on hit all vendors are applied from
the bundle (sub-second); on miss all vendors are parsed from JSON and
a fresh bundle is written to the user cache dir.
Invalidation is driven by bundle_key - a sorted concatenation of all
vendor JSON version strings. Any vendor update invalidates the whole
cache and triggers re-parse on next launch.
Guide wizard (WebGuideDialog) loads the bundled cache into a plain
PresetBundle instead of a separate VendorGuideData struct, removing
the duplicate data model.
generate_system_cache simplified from a per-vendor loop to a single
save_system_presets_cache() call producing one output file.
* Transfer all Preset fields from cache via move assignmet
apply_vendor_preset_group was copying fields manually and missed
bundle_id, user_id, base_id, sync_info, updated_time, key_values,
ini_str. Replace field-by-field copy with move assignment of the
fully-deserialized Preset, then restore the vendor pointer which
is excluded from serialization.
* Ignore cache for future
* Remove not used files
* Ship one preset cache per vendor in place of the profile JSONs
Each vendor's system presets serialize into a single <vendor>.opc built at
package time, and a shipped build carries that file alone — the profile JSON
and its sub-file tree are pruned. The vendor loader, the setup wizard's profile
list and the resource installer all read a vendor through its cache, falling
back to parsing whenever one is absent, stale or unreadable, so the cache stays
an optimization and never a source of truth. Caches hold presets in source form
and resolve inheritance at load, through the same code the JSON path uses.
* Make the preset cache self-describing and load each vendor from the system folder alone
The cached DynamicPrintConfig is keyed by name, through a per-file dictionary of the
distinct opt_keys, the type each was written as, and the distinct enum value names,
instead of by serialization_key_ordinal — a position assigned by declaration order at
static init, where inserting one option shifts every later ordinal and the lookup then
succeeds on the wrong option. Because a name-keyed payload drops the options this build
cannot place rather than being rejected wholesale, the schema fingerprint goes, and with
it the two fallbacks that existed only because an installed cache died on every app
upgrade: the second lookup tier into resources/profiles and the parse fallback to the
same place. A vendor is loaded from <data_dir>/system/ and nowhere else, as on main —
which is what makes the app write its .opc files there again.
* Simplify the preset cache internals after review
* Use the shared temp-dir helper in the preset bundle loading test
* Bound stamp string reads in the preset cache
* Speed up the setup wizard with a profile-data cache
The wizard's per-vendor fast path threw on vendors present only in
resources, falling back to a ~29 s raw JSON scan on every open. Each
vendor now loads from the directory it was found in, and the derived
model/machine/filament/process catalog is cached whole in
<data_dir>/cache/wizard_profile_data.json, stamped by each vendor's
name and version - a fresh cache makes an open one file read, with no
bundle built and no presets installed (~0.2 s vs ~2 s).
* Remove debug SVG dump from a geometry test
* Move the per-vendor cache file format into PresetCacheFormat
* Move the vendor install helpers from PresetBundle into Utils
* rename
* fix flatpak
* change cache version to 1

* Fixed an issue on Windows it failed to login Orca Cloud with Google account
- Wrap GetToolTipCtrl() call in GUI_App.cpp with #if wxVERSION_NUMBER < 3300
guard, as this API may not be accessible in wxWidgets 3.3. The dark tooltip
theming is cosmetic and non-critical.
- Add explicit #include <wx/utils.h> to 7 source files that use functions from
that header (wxGetMousePosition, wxLaunchDefaultBrowser, wxGetDisplaySize,
wxBell) but relied on transitive includes. This preempts breakage from
wxWidgets 3.3 reducing transitive includes.
Files with wx/utils.h added: BBLTopbar.cpp, CreatePresetsDialog.cpp,
CameraPopup.cpp, GLCanvas3D.cpp, GCodeViewer.cpp, GUI_ObjectList.cpp,
FilamentMapPanel.cpp.
Skipped BindDialog.cpp and FilamentPickerDialog.cpp as they already include
wx/wx.h which provides wx/utils.h transitively.
Part of wxWidgets 3.1.5 -> 3.3.2 upgrade.
wxWidgets 3.2+ asserts on invalid sizer flag combinations where
wxEXPAND (which fills the entire space in the secondary direction)
is combined with wxALIGN_* flags (which are meaningless when expanding).
Remove the conflicting wxALIGN_* flags from all 112 occurrences across
21 files, keeping wxEXPAND and any non-conflicting flags intact.
Fix clipped printer selection in Create Filament Preset dialog
Ensure the scrolled panel in the Create Filament Preset dialog expands vertically by changing `m_main_sizer->Add(..., proportion=0)` to `proportion=1`. This exposes the printer selection checkbox, which is required to create a custom filament.
