The belt-printer branch is failing two profile gates. Both stem from the
three belt-only vendors (Custom's generic belt printer, IdeaFormer,
Printcepts) not existing upstream, so upstream maintenance passed them by.
Slice check: 4 of 1015 printers failed - Custom's MyBeltPrinter 0.2/0.4/
0.6/0.8 nozzle all fell back to "Default Setting". No process profile in
the Custom vendor listed any MyBeltPrinter in compatible_printers, and
Custom's fdm_belt_common pointed default_print_profile at
"0.20mm Standard @System", which does not exist in that vendor's index,
so the generic belt printer had no usable process at all. This gap dates
to when MyBeltPrinter was added (2026-04-07); it only started failing now
because the slice-check job is newer than that.
Adds two process profiles modelled on the sibling @MyKlipper ones:
- 0.20mm Standard @MyBeltPrinter - 0.4/0.6/0.8 nozzles
- 0.12mm Fine @MyBeltPrinter - 0.2/0.4 nozzles
The split is forced by hardware: the 0.2 nozzle preset caps
max_layer_height at 0.16, so a single 0.20mm profile cannot legally cover
it. fdm_belt_common now defaults to the standard profile and the 0.2
nozzle preset overrides to the fine one.
setting_id: 14 files failed the rules introduced in #14432. That
migration renumbered 7425 files across 61 vendors but skipped these three,
leaving BabyBelt Pro, IdeaFormer IR3 V2 and MyBeltPrinter squatting the
"G*" id space reserved for Bambu (GMPC0BBP01, GMIF001, GM_BELT_00x) and
four instantiated filament/process presets carrying no setting_id at all.
Regenerated with scripts/assign_vendor_setting_ids.py.
Also repoints the identical dangling "0.20mm Standard @System" in
Printcepts' and IdeaFormer's fdm_belt_common at their own real process
profiles. That is a no-op today because both concrete printers override
it, but it is the same landmine that took out MyBeltPrinter.
Vendor index versions bumped so check_installed_vendor_profiles() will
re-install the corrected profiles over an existing install.
Note: changing a shipped preset's setting_id can orphan user presets that
reference it as base_id. #14432 accepted that tradeoff for 61 vendors;
this keeps these three consistent with the rest.
Verified: orca_extra_profile_check.py reports 0 errors across 66 vendors
(was 14 files with errors), and OrcaSlicer_profile_validator -s slices all
1015 printer presets successfully (was 4 failures).
Brings the belt-printer work up to date with 591 upstream commits.
Conflict resolutions (12 files, 42 hunks):
- GCode.cpp: adopted upstream's per-filament/per-nozzle config refactor
(get_filament_config_index, NOZZLE_CONFIG), the extracted
generate_timelapse_gcode + farthest-point timelapse, and the
ConfigOptionFloatsNullable calibration options. Re-applied the belt
hooks on top: init_belt_writer / axis remap / FirstLayerPlane setup,
on_set_origin, the belt-corrected calib_z for the volumetric speed
tower, and path_on_first_layer (belt's per-path first-layer test) in
place of upstream's layer-index on_first_layer() in the acceleration,
jerk and overhang-detection paths. Swept upstream's new m_writer.
uses to m_writer-> since belt holds the writer by unique_ptr.
- interpolate_value_across_layers: kept upstream's banded stepping and
belt's object-Z-span ratio; dropped upstream's duplicate ratio decl.
- Plater.cpp: took upstream's guarded add_model(...) early-returns and
the VFA vfa_layer_height plumbing; kept the belt temp-tower path,
_calib_apply_belt_mode and belt_calib_flip_ringing_tower. Dropped the
VFA "cut upper" block, superseded upstream by model scaling.
- Brim.cpp: upstream's ObjectInstanceID-keyed brimAreaMap, keeping the
belt early-return.
- 3DScene.cpp: kept both the belt build-plate tilt up_direction and
upstream's per-extruder printable-height shading.
- GCodeViewer.cpp: kept upstream's dim-previous-layers setup and belt's
exemption from the same-result early return.
- TreeSupport.cpp: upstream's >= 0 roof-layer fix inside belt's
belt-floor branch.
- calib.cpp / GCode.hpp / GCodeWriter.{cpp,hpp} / Print.hpp: upstream's
additions adapted to belt's pointer-held writer and helpers.
- Custom.json: kept profile version 02.04.00.03 (belt) over upstream's
02.04.00.01; both bumped from 02.04.00.00.
Building this tree needs the wxInspector dependency, which upstream
added in the interim (python3 and wxWidgets 3.3.2 were already present
in the shared deps prefix).
# Description
Changing a slicing plugin's configuration had no effect on the sliced
result until you forced a re-slice some other way; it now applies
immediately. Print, printer and filament presets also keep their plugin
configuration separately, so configuring a plugin on one no longer wipes
out what you set on another.
A plugin's custom configuration page gets the same round of improvements
in both the Plugins dialog and the per-preset dialog: it follows the
app's light/dark theme, keeps its state while you edit instead of
resetting under the cursor, and can tell whether it is being edited
globally or for a preset, so "Restore defaults" can be labeled for what
it will actually do. The two bundled examples show this off — Twistify
now ships a custom configuration UI, and Inspector is themed, groups

Adapt the speed dial's ActionRegistry to the collapsed
get_plugin_capability(PluginCapabilityId) overload, and restore the
script success/skipped status message the dialog lost when its
PluginScriptRunner refactor was superseded by ActionRegistry.
When a print fails, DeviceErrorDialog now fetches the printer's captured camera
frame of the failure and shows it in place of the generic HMS illustration,
falling back to the local image and a drawn placeholder on older plugins or errors.
- Agent: add get_hms_snapshot through NetworkAgent / IPrinterAgent (BBL calls the
bound plugin symbol; other agents no-op, so old plugins degrade gracefully).
- DeviceManager: parse and clear m_print_error_img_id from the print-error message.
- Dialog: tiered cloud/local/placeholder image reusing the single image widget,
with a liveness-guarded async callback decoded on the UI thread.
The eight presets added in 0545750c1b never got ids: the six iQ processes
had none, and K1 SE 0.8 / V-Core 4 0.8 carried ids copied from the presets
they were duplicated from — K1 SE 0.8 still shared K1C 0.8's id. Regenerated
with scripts/assign_vendor_setting_ids.py; none of the eight have shipped in
a release, so no existing id changes meaning.
Resolve five conflicts, all of which needed both sides rather than a pick:
- BackgroundSlicingProcess: ours was a pure tabs->spaces reformat of base, so
keep main's per-filament volume/nozzle map read-back (its only change here).
- GUI_App: main's #12506 else-if attached to an `if` this branch deleted;
re-expressed onto the same-agent early-return path (the agent factory caches
per id, so pointer equality is the same predicate).
- MainFrame: both sides relocated Sync Presets independently; keep main's
push_notification plus the branch's Plugins menu items.
- Tab: the "TODO: Orca: Support hybrid" blocks were unchanged base, not a branch
decision; take main's enabled Hybrid to match the already auto-merged siblings.
- test_config: union of both sides' cases (6 plugin + 9 multi-nozzle).
Fix text rendering issue when using MacType, with the original harmony os sans installed globally (OrcaSlicer/OrcaSlicer#14566)
The new fonts are generated using fonttools that only add gasp table to the original font without touching other parts
Move plugin capability enumeration, loader
subscriptions, and action construction into
ScriptActionSource. Keep ActionRegistry focused
on generic action state, dispatch, and snapshots.
Use source rather than package for generic origin
metadata so future non-plugin providers share the
same interface. Action IDs and persisted
configuration remain unchanged.
Subscribe before initial enumeration so plugin
events cannot be missed between the snapshot and
callback registration. Add a focused test for
source startup.
Plugins dialog and the Speed Dial popup each
carried a private copy of the same fuzzy
matcher and had already drifted. Move the
pure functions into a shared module loaded
by both pages, and add a unit test beside
it.
