Clifford Garwood b6b2f0d3b8 Merge upstream into the parallel printing work
Brings in nine commits, including stricter slice validation of custom G-code and
filename formats across system profiles, OBJ and DRC import hardening, and the
Ender-3 V3 SE extrusion mode fix. None of them touch the files this branch
changes.

HanifKoh 8ffd3e514e Harden OBJ and DRC Import Against Malformed Files (#15948)
* Validate OBJ Texture-Coordinate Indices

load_obj read the texture coordinates of a face without checking the
vt index, so a face referencing a vt past the end of the list read out
of bounds and crashed, and a face vertex with no vt read index -1.
Out-of-range or missing indices now fall back to a zero UV. The face
keeps its entry in the per-face UV list, so the following faces stay
aligned, and the geometry loads as before.

Negative (relative) vt indices were also rebased by dividing the float
count by 3, but each vt stores two floats.

* Reject DRC Meshes Without Positions or with Invalid Face Indices

load_drc dereferenced the POSITION attribute without checking that the
mesh has one, and trusted the decoded face indices, which the Draco
decoder does not check against the point count. Both now fail the load
cleanly. A failed vertex conversion is treated the same way.

The libslic3r tests link Draco so they can encode the malformed meshes
in-test.

* Keep OBJ Texture Coordinates That Carry a W Component

The vt parser stopped reading the optional third component when texture
coordinates were cut down to u and v, but the check that nothing is left
on the line stayed. A legal "vt u v w" line was therefore rejected and
silently dropped, shifting every later texture index. The w component is
parsed again and discarded.

The texture coordinate stride is now a named constant, OBJ_TEXCOORD_LENGTH,
used by the parser and the importer, so the relative-index rebase cannot
drift from the storage layout again.

SoftFever 9688f0ae62 Slice-validate every custom G-code and filename_format in system profiles (#15966)
# Description

Follow-up to #15950, where a `filename_format` using
`initial_no_support_extruder` shipped broken because the profile
validator's slice sweep never expands `filename_format`. The sweep now
expands every custom G-code and `filename_format` text shipped in any
system profile. Each printer's slice also fires the pause, template
custom G-code and clumping-detection hooks and names the output file,
and the first printer shipping a `printing_by_object_gcode` also slices
by object. Beyond each printer's default process and filament, every
compatible system process and filament carrying a template text no
earlier slice has expanded is sliced once, which takes the sweep from
1,110 to 1,248 slices (about 49 s locally, up from 43 s). While the
sweep runs, the placeholder parser also resolves variable names inside
`{if}` branches a slice does not take, so one expansion checks every
branch.

The stricter sweep found two profile bugs, fixed here: the Anycubic
Kobra X filament change G-code carried an unreachable block reading
variables only Anycubic's own slicer defines, and the Wanhao France D12
template custom G-code had an unterminated `{if}`, so adding a template
custom G-code on those printers failed the slice. It also fixes a parser
bug where a declaration such as `{local a = layer_height + 1}` failed to
parse inside a branch that is not taken.

No change to slicing output for templates that already worked: the
untaken-branch check is enabled only by the validator's slice mode, and
the parser fix only lets previously rejected templates parse.

## Tests

New placeholder-parser cases cover the parse fix and the untaken-branch
check: off by default it changes nothing; on, it rejects undefined names
in branches not taken, accepts names declared there, and leaves boolean
expressions (compatibility conditions) alone. The full sweep passes on
all system profiles, and planting an undefined variable in an untaken
branch of a printer's start G-code, of a non-default filament's start
G-code or of a non-default process's `filename_format`, or reverting
#15950, each fails it and names the preset. `scripts/check_profile.sh`,
`libslic3r_tests` and `fff_print_tests` pass.

Clifford Garwood 299093844f Merge upstream main: multi-variant printers, X-Ray view, preview and startup work
The two conflicts are both places where upstream landed on top of IDEX/IQEX
code. In GCode.cpp the relocated file header block meets the IMEX placeholder
block, and the placeholders are set first: file_start_gcode is processed through
the placeholder parser now, which throws on a name it does not know, so a script
naming {imex_mode} would abort the export if the header ran first. In
test_multifilament.cpp both sides appended a case at the end of the file.

HanifKoh d35ea27ea5 Validate Zip Entry Sizes Before Parsing 3MF XML (#15958)
The 3MF importers read XML entries into a single expat buffer whose size is
an int, while the archive extraction used the entry's 64-bit declared size.
The two could disagree for entries declaring more than INT_MAX bytes.

Reject such entries before allocating, and use one size for the buffer, the
extraction and the parse. This applies to the BBS importer, the PrusaSlicer
importer and the PrusaSlicer fingerprint probe. The load now fails with an
error instead.

HanifKoh 490d134507 Harden 3MF Loading Against Malformed Plate IDs and Paint Data (#15959)
* Reject 3MF Plate IDs Below 1 Instead of Indexing Before the Plate List

The plate importer copied each plater_id from model_settings.config into the
1-based plate list after checking only the upper bound, so plater_id="0"
wrote to plate_data_list[-1] and crashed on load. Both copy sites now reject
ids below 1 with the same "invalid plate index" error already used for ids
past the end.

* Drop Malformed 3MF Paint Data Instead of Reading Past the Bitstream

Painted facets are decoded from a bitstream a nibble at a time with no bound
check, so a truncated or corrupt paint string in a 3MF (for example split
codes with no children behind them) read past the end and crashed on load and
slice. A one- or two-side split naming side 3 also indexed past the triangle's
vertices.

Every nibble read now goes through a bounds-checked reader. Loading validates
each triangle's tree and drops a malformed one with a warning, so the stored
data, used extruder states and later decoding all agree. deserialize() also
unwinds and clears any triangle whose tree is incomplete or malformed, and
has_facets() stops at a truncated triangle. Valid streams decode unchanged.

HanifKoh 41eeaf3883 Sanitize Server-Supplied Download File Names (#15955)
* Sanitize Server-Supplied Download File Names

The URL downloader used the file name from the Content-Disposition header
as given, without the cleaning and unused-name search applied to the
URL-derived name.

Reduce the header name to a sanitized base name with the new
sanitize_file_basename helper, which splits on both path separators and
rejects names made only of dots and spaces. Run the result through the
same unused-name search as the URL-derived name, now shared in
find_unused_filename, and fall back to the URL-derived name when nothing
usable remains.

* Sanitize Download Names Before Choosing an Unused One

The unused-name search probed the name as given and sanitized the
result afterwards, so a name whose special characters are replaced
could be mapped onto a file that already exists.

Move the search into libslic3r as find_unused_filename, sanitize first
and probe the name that is actually written. The download marker path
is shared through download_marker_path. Restore the last tried name in
the error reported when no free name is found, and cover the search
with unit tests.

* Keep Downloads on an Unused Name Until They Complete

When the server supplied the name, the download marker stayed under the
URL-derived name, so the adopted name was not reserved against other
downloads. The final rename also replaced any file that took the name
while the download ran.

Move the marker to the adopted name before any data is written, and
check the name again right before the final rename, picking the next
free name if it is taken by then.

* Sanitize the File Name of Model Import Links

The model import took the file name from the link as given and only
avoided an existing file with a substring match on the folder listing.

Reduce the name to a sanitized base name, falling back to untitled.3mf,
choose the name with the shared unused-name search, and check it again
before the final rename.

* Handle Filesystem Errors When Finishing a Model Import Download

Choosing the final name and moving the downloaded project into place
could throw from inside the download callback. Any such error now removes
the temporary file and reports the existing import failure message.

SoftFever 9d8257d2eb Support extruder variants on every printer (#15964)
# Description

Extruder variants (Standard, High Flow, extra high flow) now work on any
printer. Any vendor profile can declare them, and a multi-variant
filament picks up the right variant on every printer. In the sidebar,
users can switch the printer variant and set the nozzle volume type of
each extruder on multi-extruder printers. This also fixes a later
filament printing at the first filament's temperature on a P1S or X1C
with a High Flow nozzle. The profile checks now reject variant arrays of
the wrong size and outdated variant strings. Every shipped vendor
profile passes them, and the orca-profiles skill documents the rules.

Slicing output changes only where the wrong variant was used before.

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 af1cf71a4c Read the IDEX/IQEX enum settings back as the values they were saved as
A coEnum config value has two representations: the typed ConfigOptionEnum<T> a
config cloned from the static classes carries, and the ConfigOptionEnumGeneric
that a config assembled from the option definitions creates - which is what a
preset, a project's own settings and the CLI all hold. imex_cfg_enum() accepted
only the first, so every IDEX/IQEX reader took the option default instead: a
printer saved as rear-left came back front-left in the settings, the bed zones
and the carriage markers, while the preset on disk still held rear-left.

Read the generic form too, keyed on the value map it carries, since only T's own
map yields a T. The last reader that matched on the coEnum tag alone and cast
across the two hierarchies now goes through the helper with everything else.

Declaring the three keys the static classes were missing is what lets a change
to imex_tool_layout invalidate the slice it moves, which it never did before.
The two that are only ever drawn stay out of that: a colour scheme and the
advisory margin bands do not reach a slice, so changing one must not discard it.

SoftFever c168d0c8db Stop estimating a prime tower for a single used filament (#15760)
# Description

A plate using one filament no longer reserves or draws a prime tower in
the plater just because multiple filament slots are configured. The
shared footprint estimate gated "no tower" on the purge volume being
zero, but on non-Bambu printers with the shipped defaults that volume
comes from the SEMM flush matrix, which reads every configured slot and
stays nonzero even when only one filament is used — so the preview
showed a tower the print could never contain. The estimate now decides
from the filament count alone, with wrapping detection and smooth
timelapse staying the only reasons a single-filament plate keeps a
tower, matching `Print::has_wipe_tower()`. The gate also moved above the
flush-volume scan so the lone-filament path no longer pays for it.

No change to slicing output — toolpath generation already omitted the
tower for a single used filament; this removes the phantom preview,
placement reservation, and validation footprint.

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 84c13d4913 Merge upstream main: wipe tower port, per-filament bounds checks, CLI mixed rules
Four files overlapped, and each resolution favours upstream where the two sides
had done the same work:

WipeTower's M104/M109 tool qualifier. Both sides bounds-checked the physical
extruder map lookup; upstream omits the T qualifier when the map cannot answer,
where this branch fell back to the logical index and so named a carriage that may
not be the one printing. Upstream's behaviour is what this branch documents
elsewhere, so its version is taken and the local helper is dropped.

get_extruders' mixed-slot switch. Upstream added the same concept to the CLI
overload as expand_mixed_slots, so the GUI overloads' parameter is renamed to
match rather than carrying two names for one idea.

GLCanvas3D's sequential-clearance branch gains upstream's
update_compacted_wipe_tower_clearance for the by-layer case.

The printer_agent re-sync in TabPrinter::reload_config was upstream's and their
preset-undo fix removed it, so it goes; the IMEX modes grid re-sync beside it
stays, since it spans three options and is not a Field.

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 b6a2c76e5d Share the prime-tower rule with the slicer instead of copying it
imex_wipe_tower_hull() open-coded "does this plate print a tower?" as one
filament and no forcing reason. normalize_fdm_2, which is what actually
clears enable_prime_tower before slicing, has a second arm the copy omitted,
and reads the mixed-filament flag project-wide where the copy read the
plate. Two cases went wrong in opposite directions.

A ByObject plate with several objects prints no tower and the scene draws
none, yet the copy validated one and could refuse the slice with "the prime
tower overlaps an area reserved for IDEX/IQEX parallel printing" - with
nothing on screen to move.

A plate using one plain slot while some other slot in the project is a blend
does print a tower, because normalize_fdm_2 keeps it for any mixed filament
in the project, and the copy skipped validation entirely, so the tower could
be placed in a carriage zone and sliced.

prime_tower_is_printed() in libslic3r states the rule once, and both the
gate and a test use it. The counts are the ones normalize_fdm_2 is handed:
filament slots as authored, so a mixed slot counts once, and distinct
objects rather than instances. filament_is_mixed is a project option, so it
is passed in rather than read from the print preset.

The test drives every combination the rule looks at and compares the verdict
against normalize_fdm_2 itself, so the two cannot drift again without
failing.

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 182dbd55e4 Pin the flush-matrix purge for a single filament
With single_extruder_multi_material and purge_in_prime_tower, the flush
matrix replaces the prime volume and its average is non-zero for one
filament, so the estimate reports a tower. normalize_fdm_2 clears the tower
for that same plate, so none is printed: the estimate answers how big a
tower is, never whether there is one, and a caller reading a non-zero depth
as "a tower is printed" reserves space for, or blocks on, a phantom. The
test asserts that disagreement directly.

Type1 is the exception in the same case, because it decides from its
per-filament purge list and a lone filament is never changed to. The scene
reads the same estimate either way. Type2 is the default for every non-Bambu
printer, and so for every IDEX/IQEX one.

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 3c31856b85 Bound the second-layer temperature lookup in filament-slot space
nozzle_temperature is variant-expanded, so its length is columns rather than
filament slots. On the dynamic-nozzle path that makes it longer than the
slot count, and an out-of-slot index reached get_filament_config_index() and
came back as filament 0 - the clamp the bounds-checking was meant to remove.
Bound by the slot count instead; on the ordinary path the two are equal and
nothing changes. The is_extruder_used write gains the matching lower-bound
guard.

IMEXHelpers.hpp now states both halves of the rule its call sites follow.
Bound anything derived from the extruder map against the filament slot count
before using it as a filament id, not against the option about to be read.
And a miss is -1, which is a correct tool qualifier but matches no physical
head, so it cannot serve as a skip-the-primary sentinel: which head prints a
filament is answered by the filament and the map, never by a mode role,
since a primary-mode print may use any or all tools, one at a time.

The consequence is recorded there rather than left implicit. The two skip
sites skip nothing for a slot past the end of the map, so a plate with more
slots than nozzles double-writes the primary's pressure advance. It is
narrow and unreported, and a guard there would be a smaller change than
naming a head.

The header also records that RepRapFirmware sends an unqualified pressure
advance as M572 D0, naming drive 0 absolutely rather than the active tool.

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 b6f690a65c Migrate the IDEX/IQEX config keys testers already have
The parallel printing options shipped to testers as is_ixex and ixex_*,
became is_imex and imex_* when the feature stopped being called iXex, and
the two clearance keys were renamed once more to say what they measure:
nozzle to carriage edge on the collision side, not the carriage's full
width. Nothing translated any of it, so loading an existing printer profile
dropped every one of these values - the keys are unknown and cleared.
is_ixex is the one that matters most, because without it the others migrate
into a feature that stays switched off, leaving settings that look
configured and do nothing.

Per-plate mode is persisted twice and only one path went through
handle_legacy. Plate metadata in a 3MF is matched by exact attribute name
and written with set_key_value, so a project saved between the per-plate
mode landing and the rename loaded every plate back on Primary and sliced
single-carriage with no warning. The loader now accepts the old attribute
name.

ixex_primary_col and ixex_primary_row are dropped rather than mapped: the
primary is a role inside the mode's active-tools string now, not a grid
coordinate, and they were never in an option list, so no saved file carries
them.

The test drives the full era-1 key list and asserts the enum values rather
than non-nullness, since a forward-compatible substitution would otherwise
hide a failed deserialize behind a default. handle_legacy had no test before
this.

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 f7a08b0868 Spell the mode loop initializers as std::string
Two range-for loops bound const std::string& to braced lists of string
literals, so each iteration constructed a temporary to bind to. GCC 16

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 98544fd6bc Bound the parallel pressure-advance lookup to the filament count
Review findings on the preceding commit, plus one defect it should have
caught.

- The IDEX/IQEX pressure-advance loop fed resolve_filament_for_head()'s
result straight into enable_pressure_advance and pressure_advance. That
result is bounded by physical_extruder_map, which holds one entry per
NOZZLE, while both options are indexed per filament SLOT. On a printer
with more nozzles than the project has filaments the two spaces diverge
and get_at() clamped the overflow onto filament 0, emitting its pressure
advance on a secondary carriage. The second-layer temperature loop bounds the
same lookup, but against nozzle_temperature, which is variant-expanded and so
is not the slot count either -- it is not the precedent it looks like.
  IMEXHelpers.hpp states the rule
once, and a test pins the contract that makes the bound necessary:
resolve_filament_for_head() answers in nozzle space, so a non-negative
result is not by itself safe to use as a filament id.

- The header claimed every caller renders a -1 tool qualifier as "emit
none". RepRapFirmware substitutes the historical D0 instead, deliberately
and with its own comment in GCodeWriter. Say so, rather than leaving a
contract a future author would code against.

- A cross-reference pointed at a hard-coded line number that the preceding
commit had itself shifted by nine lines. Name the function instead.

- The multi-color rejection reasons reach the user through Print::validate()
as raw English, while the returns on either side of them use L(). Wrap
them and register IMEXHelpers.cpp for extraction. They also still said
"IMEX", the internal name, so they move to IDEX/IQEX with the rest of the
user-facing strings rather than shipping the internal one to translators.

- Trim the preceding commit's comments. One block explained the same
clamping hazard six times; the canonical explanation now lives in
IMEXHelpers.hpp and the call sites point at it. The mode grid carried
twelve lines of commentary and no code, most of it archaeology already in
the commit message, and one claim about the modes editor that was not
true. The ArrangeJob threading note stays: it documents an invariant that
cannot be recovered from the code.

Clifford GarwoodandClaude Opus 5 e309029b28 Fix extruder-map bounds, popover lifetime, and arrange thread safety
Review findings on the IDEX/IQEX parallel printing code, all in paths the
feature owns.

- physical_extruder_map lookups used ConfigOptionVector::get_at(), which
clamps an out-of-range index to values.front() rather than reporting a
miss. The map holds one entry per nozzle while filament ids index slots,
and nothing caps the slot count at the nozzle count, so a project authored
with more filaments than the printer has extruders silently addressed the
primary's head: pressure advance pinned to the wrong carriage, and
skip-primary loops suppressing whichever head sat at pem[0]. Bounds-check
at all four sites and treat the miss as "no mapping" (-1). Covered by a new
imex_pem_tool_for test; the header note now warns against get_at here.

- IMEXFilamentPickerPopover leaked a top-level window per ghost click:
wxPopupTransientWindow::Dismiss() only hides, and never reaches OnDismiss().
Destroy from an OnDismiss() override and dismiss the picker through
DismissAndNotify(), which is the path a successful pick takes.

- ArrangeJob read PartPlate's IMEX zone cache from the worker thread, where
a cache miss rebuilds GLModel members with no GL context current while the
GUI thread may be painting them. Snapshot the zones in prepare(), on the
main thread, already converted to plate-local coordinates.

- The mode grid anchored its row window to the Primary's gantry row. A window
as tall as the grid can only start at row 0, so this drew tiles for tools
that do not exist and hid real ones. Render the whole grid instead; a
Primary outside it is a data problem the zone layout already reports.

- Build the mode tooltip from one format string rather than two catalog
fragments concatenated around a runtime value, so translators can move the
mode name within the sentence, and register IMEXModesCtrl.cpp for string
  extraction.

SoftFever ade9e77b6b Run every profile maintenance job from one tool (#15726)
* Run every profile maintenance job from one tool

orca_id_tool.py becomes orca_profile_tool.py, and orca_extra_profile_check.py
and orca_filament_lib.py fold into it as subcommands: check, generate-id, fix,
trim, update-index and update-snapshot. The three scripts already overlapped --
the checker imported half of its rules from the id tool, which in turn kept a
copy-pasted set of output helpers to avoid the resulting import cycle -- while
disagreeing on how a vendor is enumerated, how a JSON file is read and what the
exit code means. One file settles all three.

check, normalize, trim and update-index reproduce their predecessors exactly; normalize and
update-index were diffed byte-for-byte against the old scripts over a copy of
the whole tree. Deliberate changes: the compatible-printers check no longer
switches itself off when --check-materials is passed, an error exits 1 rather
than -1, update-index honours --profile-type and reports a profile it cannot
place instead of dropping it from the index, fix and update-index gained
--dry-run, trim keeps an unindexed file some surviving profile still inherits
from, and vendors are enumerated as directories with an index -- which is why
blacklist.json, a data file that an unscoped index rebuild once wrote four empty
list sections into, loses them here and will not collect them again. The dead
rename_filament_system() helper is gone.

The suite under scripts/tests now covers the maintenance commands too, and CI
runs it; nothing there ran in CI before. No shipped profile data changes apart
from those four keys.

* update vendor index files with "python3 ./scripts/orca_profile_tool.py update-index" and "python3 ./scripts/orca_profile_tool.py normalize"

packerlschupfer 93c8b3f2b0 CLI: --ground-* orientation from the Lay on Face planes, and --inspect-mesh (#15073)
* CLI: --ground-face-* / --lay-flat / --center-on-bed orientation primitives

Adds the CLI counterparts to the GUI's lay-flat / face-pick gizmos.
Scripted / CI / AI pipelines can now set orientation without rendering
a wxWidgets frame; today the only way is a GUI round-trip.

New CLI actions (all operate in the mesh-local frame so they compose
with prior --rotate-* / --orient flags):

  --ground-largest-face 1 Auto-detect the largest planar-face
or --lay-flat 1 cluster (area-weighted), rotate so its
normal points -Z. Covers "this part has
                              one obvious flat side" cases.

  --ground-face-normal NX,NY,NZ Pick the face whose mesh-local
                                   normal best matches the given
                                   vector; ground it. e.g.
                                   `--ground-face-normal 1,0,0`
stands a part on its +X side.

--ground-face-point X,Y,Z Find the triangle containing the
                                   given mesh-local point; ground its
                                   face. Disambiguates when several
                                   faces share a normal (largest
                                   containing triangle wins).

  --center-on-bed 1 Translate so the XY bounding-box
centroid lands at the bed center
                                   (derived from printable_area).

New file `src/slic3r/Utils/MeshOrient.{hpp,cpp}`:
- collect_triangles_object / compute_face_clusters — quantize
  per-triangle normals (0.001, ~0.06°) and area-weighted-average
within clusters. Same clustering logic used by lay-flat.
- apply_ground_rotation — same math as Selection::flattening_rotate
in the GUI (Selection.cpp:1432): world-space quaternion from the
  transformed normal to -Z, applied as offset * new_rot * old_no_offset
on every instance of every object, then a per-instance Z-lift so the
grounded face lands at exactly 0 (avoids "No layers were detected"
  from FP-error z≈-1e-9).
- ground_face_point uses a top-N cluster search + point-in-triangle
test in local space; largest-area triangle wins on ambiguity.

Rationale: without these, any CLI pipeline that needs a specific
face on the bed must either encode custom rotation math per part or
break out of the pipeline into the GUI. Both are bad for
reproducibility. The --ground-face-* triple + the largest-face
auto-mode cover essentially every orientation intent expressible
in a slicing wizard.

Scope:
- `src/slic3r/Utils/MeshOrient.{hpp,cpp}` — new, ~420 lines
- `src/slic3r/CMakeLists.txt` — 2-line registration
- `src/libslic3r/PrintConfig.cpp` — 5 new CLIMiscConfigDef entries
- `src/OrcaSlicer.cpp` — 58-line handler block + 1 include

No behaviour change when the flags are absent.

(cherry picked from commit c45a9795e1)

* CLI grounding: choose among the Lay on Face planes, per object

Addresses review:
- Move the geometry of GLGizmoFlatten::update_planes() into
libslic3r/LayOnFace and use it from the gizmo and the CLI, so the
--ground-* options pick convex-hull faces per object and instance,
  with part transformations (--rotate-x/y) applied.
- Drop --center-on-bed, the --lay-flat alias and MeshOrient; make
  --ground-largest-face a coBool.
- Parse --ground-face-normal and --ground-face-point strictly. A point
that only some objects contain grounds those and leaves the others.
- Fold in --inspect-mesh from #14603, reporting the same planes.
- Tests in tests/libslic3r/test_lay_on_face.cpp: bounding boxes before
and after, rotate then ground, two objects, and a ribbed part whose
parallel inner faces outsum its base.

* CLI --inspect-mesh, --ground-face-*: reject missing input and empty values

- Without an input file or --load-assemble-list, --inspect-mesh printed
nothing and exited 0. Reject it up front with CLI_INVALID_PARAMS.
- An explicit empty --ground-face-normal or --ground-face-point was
silently ignored. Only options given on the command line reach the
transforms loop, so an empty value now fails the strict parse like any
  other malformed value.

Kris Austin bd1304443c fix: guard per-filament array reads against short config arrays (#14789)
* fix: guard H2C per-filament array reads against short config arrays

The H2C tool-ordering, wipe-tower, and g-code export paths index per-filament
config arrays by filament/tool id. A config with fewer entries than the filament
count (partial or legacy projects, minimal test configs) makes these reads run
past the end of the vector: silent under a normal STL, but UB that aborts under
the flatpak build's bounds-checked STL (_GLIBCXX_ASSERTIONS).

Route the reads through the existing clamping accessors (get_at,
get_filament_category, is_in_same_extruder) and add a small clamp helper for
filament_change_length. The guards are no-ops when the arrays are sized to the
filament count, so correctly specified configs are unaffected.

* fix: size the grouping context's filament_info to the filament count

build_filament_group_context built model_info.filament_info by walking
filament_type, so a config whose filament_type is shorter than the filament
count produced a short vector. FilamentGroup indexes filament_info by filament
id, so clamping the individual reads only moved the out-of-bounds access
downstream. Loop to filament_nums and read all three fields through get_at,
and drop filament_ids entries past the filament count, since the grouping code
pairs filament_ids and filament_info by position.

Adds a regression test with four filaments and one-entry filament_type /
filament_is_support. Without the fix it throws bad_alloc from copying a garbage
std::string read past the end.

* fix: guard the carousel nozzle-change length reads too

The carousel branch added in b90ac13d86/b0dddb4648 reads
m_filaments_change_length by tool id without a bounds check, the same
pattern this branch already routed through filament_change_length_at
a few lines above in both plan_toolchange and plan_tower_new.

* fix: guard WipeTower per-filament array reads against short config arrays

The BambuStudio WipeTower sync reintroduced raw per-filament array
indexing that reads out of bounds when a config leaves an array shorter
than the filament count: m_physical_extruder_map in format_line_M104/M109
(indexed even when empty), and m_filament_categories in get_wall_skip_points
and get_wall_filament_for_all_layer. Silent on a normal STL, a hard abort
under the bounds-checked STL the Flatpak build uses.

Bounds-check the physical extruder map before indexing (omitting the T
token, as the existing -1 path already does), and route the two raw
m_filament_categories reads through the clamping get_filament_category()
accessor the surrounding code already uses. No change for correctly-sized
configs.

HanifKoh 5514559feb Load Each Vendor Tree Once When the CLI Resolves System Presets (#15693)
# Description

<!--

  > * What new features or enhancements does this PR introduce?
> * Are there any breaking changes or dependencies that need to be
considered?

Since #15438, every CLI run that loads a system preset spends about a
second per preset file re-parsing that vendor's entire profile tree. A
slice with a machine, process and filament preset got roughly 2.5 s
slower, and a four-filament slice roughly 4 s slower. This PR loads each
vendor tree once per run instead. Resolved presets and G-code are
unchanged.

The GUI never takes this path, and no release contains #15438, so the
regression only affects CLI runs on current dev and nightly builds. That
includes print farms, slicing services and plugins that call
`orca-slicer --slice`, and CI suites.

## Changes

### Why it was slow

`PresetBundle::resolve_preset_config` resolves a system preset through
its vendor manifest by loading the whole OrcaFilamentLibrary bundle and
the whole vendor tree from JSON, then picking the one preset out. The
CLI did that separately for every `--load-settings` and
`--load-filaments` file, on a fresh `PresetBundle` each time. With BBL
presets, a machine + process + filament run opened `BBL.json` three
times and read BBL's 2,879 profile files and the library's 512 three
times over.

### Load each vendor tree once

- `PresetBundle` keeps every vendor bundle its manifest path loads,
keyed by source root, vendor and substitution rule, and reuses them for
later resolutions on the same bundle.
- OrcaFilamentLibrary is cached the same way, so vendors under one root
share a single library load and the library's own presets resolve from
that same instance. A vendor bundle only reads from its base while
loading, so sharing it is safe.
- A failed or throwing load is not kept, so error reporting is
unchanged.
- The key includes the source root, so presets from two different
profile roots still resolve separately.
- The CLI resolves every system preset through one `PresetBundle` for
the whole run, instead of creating one per file.

The resolved configurations still come from the same canonical vendor
loader, so what a preset resolves to does not change. Only the CLI calls
`resolve_preset_config`, so a long-lived GUI bundle cannot end up
holding profile trees that later change on disk.

CLI slice of a 20 mm cube with X1 Carbon system presets. Both builds get
the same datadir, best of 3, Linux. "Before" is this PR's base from CI.

| System presets loaded | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| machine | 0.95 s | 0.87 s |
| machine + process | 1.67 s | 0.92 s |
| machine + process + 1 filament | 2.51 s | 0.97 s |
| machine + process + 4 filaments | 5.00 s | 0.99 s |

Files opened during the machine + process + filament run (`strace -e
openat`):

| | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| `BBL.json` | 3 | 1 |
| `OrcaFilamentLibrary.json` | 3 | 1 |
| `system/BBL/**/*.json` | 8,634 | 2,880 |
| `system/OrcaFilamentLibrary/**/*.json` | 1,536 | 512 |

Peak memory did not rise: max RSS 306 MB → 286 MB for the three-preset
run, and 305 MB → 285 MB for four filaments. The "before" figure is an
AppImage, so part of that gap is probably packaging.

## Tests

<!--
> Please describe the tests that you have conducted to verify the
changes made in this PR.
-->

- New test "Manifest-backed resolution reuses the vendor tree it already
loaded" in `tests/libslic3r/test_preset_bundle_loading.cpp`. It resolves
one preset, changes the parent profile on disk, then resolves a sibling.
The same bundle returns the value it already loaded, and a fresh bundle
picks up the change.
- New test "Manifest-backed resolution shares the library between
vendors under one root". It resolves through one vendor, changes a
library profile on disk, then resolves through a second vendor and a
library preset on the same bundle. Both return the value already loaded,
and a fresh bundle picks up the change.
- All `[Preset][Bundle]` tests pass (87 test cases, 1,069 assertions),
including the existing manifest-backed resolution cases for source-root
scoping, malformed vendor loads, missing parents and type mismatches.
- G-code of the three-preset slice is identical before and after, header
lines excluded.
- The external CLI regression suite passes. Two cases report as
unexpectedly passing because #15639 fixed their bug. They pass the same
way on this PR's base without the change.
- A GUI-vs-CLI parity run over 10 fixtures shows no new differences.
- Builds clean on Linux (Release, with tests).

Hanif Koh d5cf1502c4 Share One Library Load Between Vendors in the CLI Preset Resolver
The manifest resolver loaded OrcaFilamentLibrary once per vendor it
resolved through, so a run that mixes vendors parsed the library tree
again for each of them. The library is now cached like any other vendor
tree, keyed on its root and substitution rule, and doubles as the base
every vendor under that root loads against. A vendor bundle only reads
from its base while loading, so sharing the instance is safe.

The cache key carries the substitution rule as its enum, and the lookup
lambdas take a const bundle since they only read.

HanifKoh 37e2b6c928 CLI: let --export-settings - write the merged config JSON to stdout (#15698)
`--export-settings` already writes the merged config as JSON at the
right point in the CLI flow. Passing `-` now writes that same document
to stdout, so scripts can inspect the effective config without a temp
file. This replaces #14605.

- `ConfigBase::save_to_json` gains a stream overload. The file overload
serializes through it before opening the file, so the output format is
unchanged, and a config that cannot be serialized (invalid UTF-8) now
leaves the existing file untouched instead of truncating it.
- On stdout, invalid UTF-8 in string values is written as U+FFFD instead
of ending the process with an uncaught `type_error`. Files keep the
strict behaviour.
- To keep stdout pure JSON, `-` is rejected up front (stderr message,
`CLI_INVALID_PARAMS`, shell status 254) when combined with an action or
transform that can write to stdout or does real work: `--info`,
`--help`, `--orient`, slicing and exporting. Options that do nothing
without a slice (`--uptodate`, `--min-save`, `--pipe`, ...) are still
accepted.
- The one unconditional stdout write on a success path, "skip locked
instance" during arrange, now goes to the log.
- Every other value, including the default `output.json`, behaves as
before.

Tests in `tests/libslic3r/test_config.cpp`: the stream output equals the
file output and keeps the tab-indented format; invalid UTF-8 throws on
the strict path and is replaced when asked; a failed save leaves the
previous file intact.

Kris Austin efc9f253ee fix: resolve relative input paths given on the command line (#14803)
Opening a model with a relative path, for example `orca-slicer ./some.3mf`,
failed with "Loading of a model file failed." and "The file does not contain
any geometry data.", while the same file opened by an absolute path or by
drag and drop worked.

GUI_App::init_app_config() changes the working directory to <data_dir>/log,
and it runs from the GUI_App constructor because the app config is needed
early for instance checking. The input files are opened much later, in
post_init(), so a path still relative at that point resolved against the log
directory instead of the directory OrcaSlicer was started from, and the 3MF
reader failed to open it.

Resolve the input paths in CLI::setup(), which runs before GUI_App is
constructed and therefore before the working directory moves. Absolute paths
are returned unchanged, so the forms that open today are unaffected, and
custom open protocol URLs are passed through since post_init() hands those to
the downloader rather than the file loader.

The working directory change is left alone. It was added in #3248 so the TUTK
logs land in the data directory instead of the working directory (#3209).

Hanif Koh d4840901fc Test That Failed Vendor Loads Are Not Kept and the Library Base Is Reused
Cover the two cache paths the first test left open: a vendor tree that fails to load is retried on the next resolution instead of being served from the cache, and a type-probed filament resolved through resolve_preset_config_type reuses the OrcaFilamentLibrary base already loaded for a sibling.

Hanif Koh 5f01f21661 Load Each Vendor Tree Once When the CLI Resolves System Presets
Resolving a system preset through its vendor manifest loaded the whole vendor tree and the filament library from JSON, and the CLI did that separately for every --load-settings and --load-filaments file. A run with machine, process and filament presets parsed BBL's 2,879 profile files and the library's 512 three times over, about a second each.

Keep the library and vendor bundles loaded by the manifest path on the PresetBundle that resolved them, keyed by source root, vendor and substitution rule, and have the CLI resolve every system preset through one bundle for the whole run. A failed load is not kept, so errors are reported as before.

On a cube slice with X1C machine, process and PLA presets: 2.42 s -> 0.93 s, BBL.json opened once instead of three times, identical G-code.

HanifKoh 31f6eb2718 Keep the First Value When a Per-Filament Variant Option Is Too Short (#15639)
update_values_to_printer_extruders_for_multiple_filaments picks each
filament's value from the flattened (filament x variant) columns of every
per-filament variant option. When a column index fell past the end of the
option's values, it skipped that filament and left the zero the output
vector was created with.

The GUI always hands this function full columns, but the CLI does not:

- a CLI override of a single value, such as --nozzle-temperature=211 on a
four-filament project, came out as 211,0,0,0, so three filaments would
  print at 0 C;
- loading fewer filament presets than the project has filaments left the
remaining filaments' columns missing, so filament_cooling_before_tower
came out as 10,10,0,0 and filament_ramming_volumetric_speed as -1,-1,0,0.

An out-of-range column now keeps the option's first value, the fallback
get_at() and the sibling gather step already use. The seven per-type copies
of the loop are replaced by that same gather_option_values helper, moved
above the function; it now takes its caller's name for its log lines. An
empty option, which has no first value, is given one registered default per
filament first; it used to be replaced with zeros.

On a partial load a filament whose preset was not loaded takes the first
filament's value rather than its own preset's, which the CLI does not load;
for the options seen in practice those agree.
