Ian Bassi ca65f0fd8e Normalize the junction direction vector over XYZE (#15308)
* Normalize the junction direction vector over XYZE

calc_vmax_junction_deviation() treats the dot product of two jd_unit_vec as a
cosine, but the vectors were scaled by 1 / block.distance, which is the XYZ
length. On an extruding move the E component then pushes the 4D norm above 1 and
the dot product below -1, so the corner reads as straighter than it is and is
planned too fast -- the more so the higher the flow. Measured on a 6 degree
corner at scv 5: 86.9mm/s with no extrusion, 94.4mm/s at 0.029mm/mm, 150.0mm/s
at 0.1mm/mm.

Neither firmware does that. Marlin normalizes over XYZE for any extruding move
(planner.cpp: `if (... || esteps > 0) normalize_junction_vector(unit_vec)`) and
Klipper leaves E out of the cosine entirely, dotting only axes_r[0..2]
(toolhead.py::Move.calc_junction). Normalizing satisfies both: with E normalized
in, the cosine differs from the XYZ-only one by ~1e-5 at printing flow rates.

This is a deliberate divergence from PrusaSlicer, which still scales by
1 / distance -- it carries an older Marlin's behaviour.

Travel moves are unaffected, their vector was already unit length.

Reported by Copilot in review of #15304.

* Test that extrusion rate does not change corner planning

The junction deviation tests were all travel-only, which is exactly why the E
component of the junction vector went unchecked. Cover it: the same corner has
to be planned the same whether nothing, an ordinary 0.42 x 0.2 line, or a fat
large-nozzle line is extruded through it, on both Klipper and Marlin 2.

Reported by Copilot in review of #15304.

Ian Bassi aaa8e98bb0 Time estimator fixes (#15304)
* Plan corners with junction deviation where the firmware uses it

The time estimator only ever had the classic per-axis jerk model, which limits a
corner by the largest single-axis component of the velocity change. That is
anisotropic: the same corner is allowed sqrt(2) more speed on a diagonal than on
an axis, which paints a four-lobed ripple around every circular wall in the
actual speed and actual flow views, worst on small parts whose walls are made of
short segments.

Klipper has no classic jerk at all and Marlin 2 has none while M205 J is in use;
both plan corners with junction deviation, which sees only the corner angle. Add
that model and use it for those machines:

  - Klipper: derived from the square corner velocity, as the firmware does
    (jd = scv^2 * (sqrt(2) - 1) / max_accel), reading the scv from
    machine_max_jerk_x, where process_SET_VELOCITY_LIMIT() already stores
    SQUARE_CORNER_VELOCITY.
  - Marlin 2: machine_max_junction_deviation, which was already loaded into the
machine limits but never reached the planner.
  - Every other flavor keeps the classic jerk path unchanged.

The model has no per-axis jerk floor, so this also drops the hard slow spot the
estimator drew at the start of every loop from machine_max_jerk_e.

Toolpaths are unaffected: on a full export the only lines that change are M73.

The junction deviation maths, including Marlin's JD_HANDLE_SMALL_SEGMENTS arc
approximation, is ported from PrusaSlicer's src/libslic3r/GCode/GCodeProcessor.cpp.
The Klipper mapping is not in PrusaSlicer, which ignores SET_VELOCITY_LIMIT.

* Add tests for junction deviation corner planning

Cover the three properties the change rests on:

  - a right angle on Klipper is planned at exactly the square corner velocity,
the identity that makes the scv to junction deviation mapping correct, and a
    shallow corner is planned far faster than per-axis jerk allows;
  - junction deviation gives the same speed whatever the corner's orientation,
    while classic jerk keeps its sqrt(2) spread, which is the four-lobed ripple;
  - machines that do not plan with junction deviation are provably untouched,
including a Marlin 2 printer that has it disabled.

harrierpigeon 175075fd08 Merge upstream/main into belt-printer
Brings the belt-printer work up to date with 591 upstream commits.

Conflict resolutions (12 files, 42 hunks):

- GCode.cpp: adopted upstream's per-filament/per-nozzle config refactor
  (get_filament_config_index, NOZZLE_CONFIG), the extracted
  generate_timelapse_gcode + farthest-point timelapse, and the
ConfigOptionFloatsNullable calibration options. Re-applied the belt
hooks on top: init_belt_writer / axis remap / FirstLayerPlane setup,
on_set_origin, the belt-corrected calib_z for the volumetric speed
  tower, and path_on_first_layer (belt's per-path first-layer test) in
place of upstream's layer-index on_first_layer() in the acceleration,
jerk and overhang-detection paths. Swept upstream's new m_writer.
uses to m_writer-> since belt holds the writer by unique_ptr.
- interpolate_value_across_layers: kept upstream's banded stepping and
belt's object-Z-span ratio; dropped upstream's duplicate ratio decl.
- Plater.cpp: took upstream's guarded add_model(...) early-returns and
the VFA vfa_layer_height plumbing; kept the belt temp-tower path,
  _calib_apply_belt_mode and belt_calib_flip_ringing_tower. Dropped the
VFA "cut upper" block, superseded upstream by model scaling.
- Brim.cpp: upstream's ObjectInstanceID-keyed brimAreaMap, keeping the
  belt early-return.
- 3DScene.cpp: kept both the belt build-plate tilt up_direction and
  upstream's per-extruder printable-height shading.
- GCodeViewer.cpp: kept upstream's dim-previous-layers setup and belt's
exemption from the same-result early return.
- TreeSupport.cpp: upstream's >= 0 roof-layer fix inside belt's
  belt-floor branch.
- calib.cpp / GCode.hpp / GCodeWriter.{cpp,hpp} / Print.hpp: upstream's
additions adapted to belt's pointer-held writer and helpers.
- Custom.json: kept profile version 02.04.00.03 (belt) over upstream's
  02.04.00.01; both bumped from 02.04.00.00.

Building this tree needs the wxInspector dependency, which upstream
added in the interim (python3 and wxWidgets 3.3.2 were already present
in the shared deps prefix).

- WipeTower: use filament_ramming_volumetric_speed(_nc) for ramming, falling back to
max_vol_speed only when nil; gate precool temps on enable_pre_heating
- ToolOrderUtils: disable the inter-layer forecast in the per-nozzle base reorder so
  H2D/H2C ordering is unchanged
- PrintConfig: stop stripping filament_prime_volume in handle_legacy; document that
prime_volume drives the Type2 wipe tower and filament_prime_volume the Type1 one
- GCodeProcessor: exclude post-print end-gcode M400 dwells from the M73 estimate and

denis svinarchuk 403292cb63 fix(GCodeProcessor): exclude end gcode M400 delays from M73 time estimation
End gcode contains firmware-conditional M400 waits for air purification,
timelapse capture, and sound notification that are post-print operations.
These were incorrectly included in M73 total time, inflating the estimate.

The fix detects MACHINE_END_GCODE_START tag during the streaming parse
(process_tags) and sets m_skip_end_gcode_delays=true. process_M400 then
skips timed delays (S/P params) in the end gcode scope.

BBS achieves the same effect by dropping leftover in calculate_time
(is_final=true). We skip at the source instead, which is more surgical
and leaves calculate_time behavior unchanged for all printers.

Affects all BBL printers with MACHINE_END_GCODE_START tag.
Non-BBL printers are unaffected (no tag = no skip).

SoftFever 3ebd68d959 feat(engine): per-nozzle-variant machine limits in the time estimator
The time estimator's speed/acceleration limits were indexed by time
mode only, reading slot 0 of the per-(extruder x volume-type) arrays
the multi-extruder profiles already carry (H2C 0.4: 8 entries, H2D
0.4: 10). Every move was therefore modelled with the first machine
slot's limits regardless of which nozzle variant was printing -
estimation fidelity only, since emitted feedrates/accelerations are
decided on the slicing side.

Now the estimator resolves the machine slot of the nozzle currently
mounted in the active extruder: the nozzle grouping context is handed
to the processor BEFORE the streaming replay (new member + setter -
deliberately separate from the post-stream result-field handover that
gates the richer change-time model, whose timing is unchanged), the
occupancy recorder is populated on every filament change (bookkeeping
decoupled from the gated time model; recorder writes have no time
effect), and get_machine_config_idx maps (volume type x extruder type
x extruder) to the slot via the printer's variant layout, newly
carried on the processor result. The feedrate/acceleration getters
gain a slot parameter indexing [slot*2 + mode]; jerk and the
print/travel/retract accelerations stay mode-only. Reloaded sliced
projects re-estimate with the result's saved grouping context;
imported bare g-code degrades to slot 0 - the historical read.

M201/M203 write the parsed value into EVERY slot's mode entry (a
firmware envelope change is global), which keeps per-slot reads in
lockstep with the mode-only reads they replace: the fleet emits
envelope lines before any motion, so estimates - hence the estimated
time header, M73 lines, and every other byte - are unchanged (20/20
pinned-slice byte gate bit-identical, incl. the sequential repro
sliced twice). Fidelity improves where envelope emission is off or a
migrating per-layer plan moves filaments across variants.

Tests: a stub-driven processor case proving the slot follows the
active nozzle through the exact production path (T..H.. commands,
fallback recorder bookkeeping, 4x time ratio on the slow variant),
that emitted M201/M203 reach every slot, and that a missing context
degrades to slot 0. Suites green (libslic3r 48998/169, fff_print
667/62).

Tommaso Bianchi 8593d66a39 belt: correct the designed-view preview's belt-Z origin and reject mis-mapped outliers
The Cartesian designed-view preview over-extended the toolpaths past the model
shell by a height-proportional amount (up to ~20mm tall parts), most visibly on
long multi-part prints; compact parts like a calibration cube looked fine.

Two coupled causes:
- Belt start G-code that primes with a Z advance and a 'G92 Z0' reset leaves a
constant machine-Z origin in the GCodeProcessor, so move positions are stored as
gcode_Z + origin. The linear back-transform mixes that constant with the
  gantry-Y term, leaving a per-move designed-Y error that min-corner anchoring
cannot cancel when an elevated move (e.g. a bridge) happens to cancel it at the
bbox minimum. Expose GCodeProcessorResult::belt_z_origin (the m_origin[Z] left by
the start G-code) and subtract it before the back-transform.
- Elevated features (bridges/overhangs) are mis-mapped by the linear inverse to
outside the model body; build the anchor bbox only from moves within model_bb +/-
10mm, with a fallback to the full bbox when the clip would drop the bulk (object
placed away from the belt entry) so the gross-offset case still anchors.

Preview-only; G-code output is unchanged.

Ian BassiandSteve Scargall c5855db578 Line Type preview: Display distances and amount values (#13681)
* feat(viewer): Display travel distance and move count in G-code summary

This commit introduces a new feature that enhances the G-code viewer by displaying the total travel distance and the total number of travel moves in the 'Line Type' summary.

This provides users with more detailed statistics about their prints, helping them to better understand the printer's behavior and identify opportunities to optimize travel moves for faster print times.

This commit also fixes a critical bug in the G-code processor where the travel distance was being calculated incorrectly. The distance variable was not being updated for non-extruding travel moves, leading to inaccurate statistics. The calculation has been corrected to ensure it is performed for all relevant move types, resulting in accurate travel distance reporting.

* Fix tool view

* Record and display seam distances

Track seam-related distances in print statistics and show them in the GCode viewer. Added total_seam_gap_distance and total_seam_scarf_distance to PrintEstimatedStatistics (with initialization). In GCode::extrude_loop the code now computes seam gap and scarf distances and accumulates them for external perimeters. GCodeViewer uses the summed seam distance when the Seams option is selected in the legend.

glowstab 9956ad5b48 X2D Support (#13388)
# Description

Adresses #13294

- Adds the X2D printer definition, machine presets, process presets,
filament presets, BBL profile index entries, CLI config entries,
filament blacklist updates, and printer/load/calibration/cover assets.
- Updates dual-nozzle handling to use configured toolhead labels and
match Bambu X2D hotend placeholders.
- Adds X2D-specific wipe tower cooling placeholder support and 3MF
filament/nozzle change sequence metadata import/export plumbing.

# Note

I own a P2S and an X2D. That's all. I frankly have no idea if my changes
cause regression on other printers, and have no capability to test. I
know that for my X2D, which runs an AMS, .2mm nozzles, SuperTack, and in
LAN mode, this has been working without issue.

UI: gray out inactive belt sub-options, rename to mesh transforms, move to Advanced

Fix mesh clipping through build plate after belt shear/scale transform

Generalize G-code viewer designed-view toggle for full belt transform

Clip support layers to transformed belt floor plane

Supports below the tilted build plate (Z = shear_factor * from_axis - min_z)
are now clipped via half-plane intersection after generation. Belt floor
parameters stored in SlicingParameters and populated in both update_slicing_parameters()
and the static slicing_parameters() overload.

Make belt G-code viewer toggle more prominent, add B keyboard shortcut

- Add separator + teal "Belt Printer" header in legend panel
- Append [B] hint to checkbox label
- Add B key shortcut in GLCanvas3D to toggle designed/machine view
- Read belt_printer_angle from loaded G-code headers to enable belt view

Add per-axis global transform option for belt printer shear

New belt_shear_{x,y,z}_global bool configs. When enabled, shear incorporates
instance shift so objects at different bed positions get position-aware
transform (Z += factor * instance_shift_on_from_axis).

Fix global shear: use layer Z offset instead of mesh transform, add config invalidation

- Global shear offset applied as post-slicing layer print_z adjustment
instead of mesh transform (which was absorbed by min_z normalization
or shifted mesh out of slice range)
- Register all belt transform options in Print::invalidate_state_by_config_options
to trigger posSlice re-slicing (the fallback only invalidated Print steps,
not PrintObject steps — belt changes had no effect without manual re-slice)
- Belt gcode remap options added to steps_gcode (gcode-export only)
- Skip empty-first-layer check for belt objects with global Z offset

WIP: split instances for global shear, relative Z offsets, debug logging

- PrintApply: when belt global mode active, prevent instance grouping by
adding unique Z perturbation to trafo — each copy becomes its own
  PrintObject with independent layers
- PrintObjectSlice: compute global Z offset relative to minimum Y shift
across all PrintObjects (lowest-Y object stays at Z=0)
- Debug logging (warning level) for belt global shift values and offsets

Known issues:
- Cached posSlice results cause stale offsets when mixing copies with
individually-added objects — need to compute min baseline outside slice()
- Supports still generate to Z=0 instead of object's global Z offset

Fix global shear for copied objects: disable shared-object layer optimization

When belt global Z shear is active, each object needs unique layer Z
values based on its bed position. The shared-object optimization was
causing copies to reuse the source object's layers (and its Z offset)
instead of computing their own position-based offset.

Add belt floor collision to non-organic tree support pipeline

- Integrate belt floor as a collision surface in TreeSupportData so
branches route around the belt naturally, replacing the explicit
  termination checks in drop_nodes()
- Add belt extension layers below the object after draw_circles() to
allow support geometry to extend to the diagonal belt surface instead
of terminating at a horizontal first layer
- Fix coordinate overflow in belt floor polygons (scale_(1e4) exceeds
int32), skip first-layer brim expansion for belt printers, and
extend empty first layer check bypass to all belt modes

harrierpigeon cb13a22e57 Part 2: Replace belt rotation w/ per-axis shear transforms and G-code axis remap
- Replace monolithic belt rotation transform with independent per-axis
    shear controls (mode/angle/source-axis for X, Y, Z) and G-code axis
remapping, giving full flexibility to match any belt printer's
    coordinate system
  - Remove all rotation mode logic and intermediate type+axes dropdowns,
simplifying the pipeline to pure shear matrices while preserving the
default behavior (Y += Z*cot(45deg) with identity remap)
  - Clean up GCodeWriter, GCodeProcessor, and GCodeViewer for the new
shear-only model; expose 12 new settings in printer UI via
    Tab.cpp/Preset.cpp

Implement belt printer tilted slicing

Implement the core belt slicing pipeline that makes the slicer
tilt-aware:

Step 1: GCodeWriter::to_machine_coords() - R(+alpha, X) rotation
from slicing frame to machine frame
Step 2: PrintObject - belt-rotated object height calculation
  (y*sin(a) + z*cos(a)) for correct layer count
Step 3: PrintObjectSlice - apply R(-alpha, X) rotation trafo so
horizontal slice planes correspond to belt-parallel planes,
with Z-shift computed from model volumes
Step 4: GCodeProcessor - machine-frame preview (no transform needed)
Step 5: 3DBed - rotate bed visualization about X by belt angle

Fix: belt surface IS the build plate, no mesh rotation

Currently still slicing perpendicular to the belt normal. Need to figure out why.

Fix G-code Z sign: use R(-alpha, X) so Z+ is away from belt

The previous R(+alpha, X) transform produced negative Z values
(-y*sin(a) term dominated). Changed to R(-alpha, X) which gives
machine_z = y*sin(a) + z*cos(a), always positive for points
above the belt surface. Z increases with each layer as expected.

reverting and changing slice methodology

Add pink slicing direction arrow from origin

Shows the effective slicing direction (gantry normal) as a pink
arrow from the origin. Shorter and wider than the gravity arrow.
Direction: R(+alpha, X) * Z = (0, -sin(a), cos(a)), which is
the layer stacking direction in the original mesh frame.

Fix slicing arrow visibility and add raw G-code toggle

- Disable depth test for pink slicing arrow so it renders on top of
the tilted bed geometry (was being occluded)
- Remove unnecessary 5mm Z-offset from arrow position
- Add m_belt_show_raw toggle to GCodeViewer
- Add "Show raw G-code (slicing frame)" checkbox in legend when
  belt mode is active

Implement to_machine_coords inverse rotation for belt printer G-code

The slicing pipeline rotates the mesh by R(-alpha, X) and shifts Z to
start at 0. The G-code output now undoes this transform via
to_machine_coords: R(+alpha, X) * T(0,0,+z_shift), recovering the
original machine-frame coordinates where Y is horizontal and Z is
vertical.

Changes:
- GCodeWriter: implement to_machine_coords with inverse rotation + Z-shift
- GCodeWriter: add belt_z_shift member and setter/getter
- GCode.cpp: compute Z-shift from print objects (same logic as
PrintObjectSlice) and pass to writer; write z_shift to G-code header
- GCodeProcessor: parse belt_z_shift from G-code header
- GCodeViewer: store belt_z_shift from processor result

Wire raw G-code toggle to apply slicing-frame view transform

When "Show raw G-code (slicing frame)" is checked in the preview
legend, the view matrix is modified to apply R(-alpha, X) * T(0,0,-z_shift)
to the toolpath rendering. This shows the G-code as it was during
slicing: rotated part with horizontal layers.

Default (unchecked): machine-frame view — upright part with tilted layers.

Remove belt printer placeholder comment from GCodeProcessor

The preview now correctly displays machine-frame G-code with the
optional raw view toggle. No transform is needed in the processor.

harrierpigeon ed6ea086a2 Add belt printer transform pipeline: slicing rotation, G-code coords, preview
- Implement core belt slicing pipeline: R(-alpha, X) mesh rotation in PrintObjectSlice with corrected object height calculation for proper layer count
Add to_machine_coords() in GCodeWriter to convert slicing-frame coordinates back to machine-frame, propagated through GCode,
GCodeProcessor, and GCodeViewer
Add belt-mode UI: tilted bed visualization, slicing-direction arrow, and raw G-code toggle to switch between machine-frame and slicing-frame views

This is a combination of 6 commits.

SoftFever 859f401df5 Fix time estimation using wrong machine limits due to broken extruder_id indexing (#12411)
The extruder_id*2 offset in get_axis_max_feedrate/get_axis_max_acceleration
was cherry-picked from BambuStudio's per-nozzle limit system, which OrcaSlicer
never ported. Without that system the limit arrays only have 2 values
([0]=Normal, [1]=Stealth), so any extruder_id > 0 or the uninitialized
value (255) would overshoot the array and fall back to values.back(),
always returning stealth-mode limits and producing incorrect time estimates.

Revert to indexing by time mode only (matching v2.3.1 behavior) and simplify
the M201/M203 handlers to write only the two mode slots they actually use.

7e1b2d99d3 Add Pressure Advance visualization support (#11673)
* Add Pressure Advance visualization support

Signed-off-by: minicx <minicx@disroot.org>

* Port Pressure Advance visualization to libvgcode architecture

Adapt PA visualization (originally in commit e3a77259) to work with
the new libvgcode library introduced by upstream PR #10735.

Changes across the libvgcode stack:
- PathVertex: add pressure_advance field
- Types.hpp: add PressureAdvance to EViewType enum
- ViewerImpl: add ColorRange, color mapping, range updates for PA
- LibVGCodeWrapper: pass pressure_advance from MoveVertex to PathVertex

GCodeViewer UI integration:
- Add "Pressure Advance" to view type dropdown
- Add PA color range in legend (3 decimal places)
- Add PA value display in sequential view marker tooltip
- Add PA row in position properties table

The GCodeProcessor PA parsing (M900, M572, SET_PRESSURE_ADVANCE)
is preserved from the original implementation.

* Tag Pressure Advance visualization changes with ORCA comments

davyd 2f2f0df6af feat: Add File header G-code option and print_time_sec/filament_length_m placeholders (#12186)
## Problem

Some Creality printers (e.g. Ender-3 V3 SE) rely on metadata comments in the first lines of G-code files to display print info on the screen (estimated time, filament usage, layer height). This follows a format originally used by Cura/Creality Print:
```
;FLAVOR:Marlin
;TIME:3708.97
;Filament used:6.21m
;Layer height:0.2
```

OrcaSlicer currently has no way to write content before the `HEADER_BLOCK` in the G-code output, and does not expose `print_time_sec` or `filament_length_m` as usable placeholders. As a result, these printers show zeroed-out print info on screen.

## Changes

### 1. New placeholders (post-processing)
Added two new G-code placeholders resolved during post-processing:
- `{print_time_sec}` — total estimated print time in seconds (double)
- `{filament_length_m}` — total filament length in meters (double)

These values are only available after G-code generation, so they use inline marker replacement (`@PRINT_TIME_SEC@`, `@FILAMENT_LENGTH_M@`) that `GCodeProcessor::run_post_process()` substitutes with actual computed values — the same pattern used by existing M73 and layer count placeholders.

### 2. New "File header G-code" option (`machine_top_gcode`)
Added a new G-code field in **Printer Settings > Machine G-code** that writes content at the very top of the output file, before `HEADER_BLOCK_START`. This allows users to add firmware-specific metadata that must appear in the first lines.

### 3. Creality Ender-3 V3 SE profile update
Pre-configured the Ender-3 V3 SE profiles (all 4 nozzle variants) with a default `machine_top_gcode` value matching the Cura-compatible header format, so print info displays correctly out of the box.

## Tests

- Sliced test model with Ender-3 V3 SE profile
- Verified G-code output contains correct values in first lines:
  - `;TIME:` with actual print time in seconds
  - `;Filament used:` with filament length in meters
  - `;Layer height:` with correct layer height
- Verified `{print_time_sec}` and `{filament_length_m}` work in both Machine Start G-code and File header G-code fields
- Verified empty `machine_top_gcode` produces no extra output
- Built and tested on macOS (arm64)

Lukáš Hejl bdbeb34158 Accumulate the total estimated print in doubles instead of floats.
Because total print time is typically a big floating point number and the time of trapezoid is typically a small number, summing those numbers leads to a loss in precision. Switching to doubles reduces the loss of precision.
